    For Bourvil only

The producer of this short knew how to make money: why not ask an orchestra to play six of their titles on a scene, he thought, and film them in a few hours. It will be so cheap that losing money on such a product is just impossible, which proved correct. The director of this film told himself: why worry, let's press the camera button and it's in the bag. A few tilted frames and one special effect to delude the public, and I will have given the impression I have done the job. Sorry, but the result is pathetic. The orchestra filmed (Fred Adison's) is passable when they play jazz but outmoded, unfunny and cheesy when it comes to the rest. BUT (yes there is a but!) halfway through the "film" appears a crazy singer named... Bourvil. He too sings brainless songs ("Timichine la Pou Pou" and a hilarious parody of "Ramuntcho" titled "Oupetta la Bella") but he does it with such enthusiasm, such conviction, so little restraint that the hitherto worthless show suddenly becomes irresistible. If you own the DVD, you can skip all that precedes and all that follows Bourvil's appearance. The rest is crap, so don't waste your time.

two hits by Bourvil, that's all folks

"Studios en folie" is a very forgettable short movie with uninteresting musical shows. But, then appears Bourvil for two songs and it's pure happiness. Maybe, these two songs appear on dvd editing songs by Bourvil, it should be more interesting than this obscure compilation with the best (Well only Bourvil) and the strictly unnecessary.
