    A very good movie

Good movie to watch.. some compare it with some different language movie which most would never would heard off. This is the problem with internet, they will search for things which is not known to any and will be boasting its a copy coat of that movie. Even if its a copycat, I d not see any issue as we most of all do not know the actual move which they say this is copied from. If there is internet some 50 years back, none of the best films of those times would have never existed. Some people would have demeaned it with their intelligence

A not so good version of "Bataille de San Sebastian, La" (1968)

This Subhash Ghai movie was not well received when it was released and is one of few weak movies from the Showman. The reason is the weak script is that it tries to cover so many angles that it falls apart. It also follows the basic plot of "Bataille de San Sebastian, La (1968", when the gangster Dharmendera is mistaken as a priest by the villagers and he remains calm and becomes their spiritual teacher. The love angle between Zeenal and Shashi keeps on peeping in between and is seems that the attention keeps diverting from one character to another. Not recommended for a enjoyable evening.....Go for other older movies of Subhash Ghai instead of this.

    • Trivia
Dharmendra and Subhash Ghai had major fights while making the film. The first one was when Dharmendra's cousin, actor Narendra and cinematographer K.K.Mahajan got into a fist fight. Mahajan was then was replaced by Rama Rao. Subhash Ghai would get angry when Dharmendra would skip the film shooting to go spend time with Hema Malini. Subhash in return would make Dharmendra keep giving retakes when he was reciting his dialogues in English. This would annoy Dharmendra to no end. Then Subhash Ghai kept insisting on helicopters and various cameras to producer Ranjit Virk. Ranjit was a relative of Dharmendra so it was almost a home production for Dharmendra. Subhash would constantly re shoot the film. Then a huge fight erupted between Subhash Ghai and Dharmendra. Subhash asked Hema Malini to wear a revealing outfit. Hema got angry and refused. Ghai reminded her she was playing a prostitute and not a innocent character. Hema then agreed after Subhash forced her. The producer Ranjit Virk begged Hema not to tell Dharmendra as he would beat the living day lights out of Subhash Ghai. Finally Dharmendra did find out and was ready to take off Ghai's head. It was the film unit members who calmed Dharmendra down and diffused the situation.
