Police Constable Dave Hollis comes to the aid id young German woman Lisa Shillack, who has a problem with her keys, the pair click and begin seeing one another. When Hollis's debts come to light, Lisa suggests a plot that he can't resist.
One of the best of the films, it's unlike any other entry, it does have one or two of the usual tropes, I don't need to list them, but everything works perfectly here.
Definitely not a pot boiler, instead this is a taut, character driven thriller, where you spend time working out which of the pair is the real villain, or questioning if they're one as bad as the other.
A terrific twist at the end, one that comes out of nowhere, totally in keeping with the originality of the story.
The young Barry Foster is excellent as Hollis, always such a talented actor, one with some definite presence. Credit also to Margrit Saad, very good as the beautiful femme fatale.
Beautifully stylish as is always the case, everyone is immaculate and smartly turned out.
