I too have just been watching the entire first series of Opposite Sex and have to say this could've been one of the best new TV series for a long time. The show worked, it was funny and entertaining and even though it was shown between 3 and 5 a.m. I stayed up to see pretty much every episode. It wasn't until I visited this site and checked it out that I realised it only ran for one season. But on the plus side it introduced me to some great young actors e.g. Allison Mack, for whom I will be eagerly looking out for in the future. Every actor fitted into the role perfectly and for that we can be happy.
Happier still if they'd let it run for a while longer.

As you may already know, Fox is dumping this show along w/ the other great show Get Real. In return they're getting new shows such as Dark Angel which doesn't look all that appealing to me. But then again, every time i find a show that I like it's always canceled. Malcolm in the Middle and SNL are the only exceptions. Anyway, I really liked this show. It had a good premise and a lot of great "new" actors that are up and coming. I especially like Milo Ventimiglia (Jed), Chris Evans (Carey), and Lindsey McKeon (Stella). The scenes w/ Carey and Stella are hilarious and clever. I also love the music that they use, such as "Good Things" by Everything and that song that they played at the end of the episode where Miranda was going to sacrifice two virgins at her birthday party. I have all the episodes on tape (six of 'em) and was looking foward to the upcoming episode where they are left behind at school. However, Fox yanked the show before it aired, so you could imagine my surprise when I watched the tape last night and instead of Oppisite Sex, I had taped Ally McBeal. I'm p'o'd that Fox would cancel this show, but then again most networks dump the shows with the most unforseen promise without giving them so much of a chance.
I was really sad when this was cancelled. I enjoyed all of the shows that I got to see, not just because it was funny, but funny without resorting to gross out humor. The humor was innocent, and the storyline depicted what was basically a nice guy getting stuck into what had previously been an all-girls school. This was a great idea and should have supported a wealth of writing, but unfortunately we will never know. One thing that might have helped the show along would have been to switch point of view from week to week (as was done in Northern Exposure). Tell the weeks episode from a different character standpoint, rather than just from that of the main character. It's too bad that Fox gave up so quickly on summer programming because they really came up with some nice, fresh shows and bright young talent.
From the advertisements I saw for this show it looked like it would just be completely plotless; as if the point of this show was just to attract guys to gawk at all the girls. I decided to watch an episode and I was happy to see there actually was a plot and a good one I might add. I can't wait to see more episodes. However, this does seem like the type of show that would get cancelled soon; I don't think they get too many viewers. But it should be fun while it lasts.
The series is about the lives and relationships of three boys who go to school in an ex- all girl academy. We see the friends or enemies or even possible lovers they make and how do they get along with the 197 girls and the teachers and their family.I think its an interesting series(some laughs, some cries, some thinking etc.)
