In 2019, Ina and David Steiner became the victims of a cyberstalking campaign. There were threats, odd deliveries to their home – from a bloody pig mask to late-night pizza – and terrifying messages. Soon, they found it wasn’t some individual, unhappy with their reporting on EcommerceBytes website. It was eBay.
“It’s a very crazy story,” director Jenny Carchman told Variety.
In “Whatever It Takes: Inside the eBay Scandal,” she exposes the bad side of the company whose slogan claimed that “people are basically good.”
“When I spoke to the Steiners, the anxiety of not knowing [who’s behind the harassment] and not being able to stop it was the most frustrating thing. They really, really suffered psychologically, to the point where they wouldn’t leave the house,” she said.
“Sometimes David would drive to the store and Ina would be lying down in the backseat, because she didn’t know who was watching them. I...

After an explosive end to the previous episode, the latest chapter gives us more answers. Here’s our review of Video Nasty episode 4.
Nb: Spoilers lie ahead.
I think most of us can agree that episode 3 of Video Nasty was quite something. Not only did Fangoria Fangirl turn out to be a boy named Topher, but he and his brother, Joe, who turned out to be the driver from episode 2, took Zoe, Billy and Con as hostages at the end of the episode.
Things don’t exactly slow down in episode 4, titled Whatever It Takes, either. The episode begins two months earlier and gives us a little more context. The post office lady who led the trio to the house is in fact the brothers’ mother, Ethel. Ethel is a devout Christian and upon finding one of the video nasties in Topher’s sock drawer, she is horrified.

Despite its success in depicting many beloved X-Men characters and Marvel villains, some significant figures were markedly underutilized by X-Men: The Animated Series. X-Men: The Animated Series is often hailed as one of the greatest adaptations of Marvel Comics. It brought iconic storylines to life, from the Dark Phoenix Saga to Days of Future Past, and introduced a generation to the mutant team’s struggles for equality. Yet, some awesome Marvel characters were overlooked or barely featured in this legendary series.
The creators of X-Men: The Animated Series had the monumental task of condensing decades of comic book lore into an accessible format for Saturday morning audiences. With time constraints, budget limitations, and a primary focus on the core X-Men team, many characters were left on the cutting room floor. While favorites like Wolverine, Rogue, and Storm received substantial screen time, several pivotal comic characters either made cameo appearances or were squandered.

T’is the season — for male strippers? Yes, actually. Yes indeed.
Netflix’s new Christmas movie “The Merry Gentlemen” is now streaming, telling story of a young dancer who comes home to find that her parents’ business — and thus, her whole childhood, essentially — may be going under. So, to help save it, she organizes a Christmas-themed male revue to pull in ticket sales.
The movie features a lot of familiar faces, but perhaps some new ones for you too. So, we’ve got you covered.
Here are all the major players in “The Merry Gentlemen.”
Netflix Ashley (Britt Robertson)
Ashley is a professional dancer, who is unceremoniously fired for being too old (in her 30s). She’s played by “Tomorrowland” and “The Longest Ride” star Britt Robertson. She also starred in “The Space Between Us” and more recently, “The Rookie: Feds,” as well as a few episodes of “The Rookie.

After a fall-off in popularity (and quality) throughout much of the 1990s, teen-skewing comedies were suddenly all the rage in Hollywood again at the turn of the millennium. The "Pygmalion"-inspired "She's All That" kicked off the craze, which included such highs as "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Dick," and more lows than I care to remember. These films were quite clearly the offspring of John Hughes' 1980s classics, but they could rarely come close to the mix of insouciance and sentimentality that made his films snap. They also weren't very funny, which didn't help.
The best film of this brief renaissance by far was Peyton Reed's "Bring It On," which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2020. Working from a spiky-sexy-hilarious screenplay by Jessica Bendinger, Reed's movie kicks off with an exuberant opening cheer routine and never loses an ounce of zip on its way to a thrilling...

"Welcome To Heaven" fails to deliver with forced happiness and short length, disrupting the show's vibe. The "More Than Anything" reprise falls short with its brevity, denying Charlie and Vaggie a deeper song. "Hell's Greatest Dad" sees Lucifer and Alastor compete in a strange song with humor, impactful symbolism.
The new Amazon Prime Video series Hazbin Hotel has 16 songs throughout 8 episodes, and though the whole soundtrack is great, some songs are clearly better than others. The soundtrack was written by Andrew Underberg and Sam Haft, a member of the Israeli-American rock band, The Living Tombstone. Whether it's the theme or the length of the song, all the songs are original, using inspiration from other Broadway musicals to explore characters' lives and plot points.

The first clip for the SXSW Film Festival documentary, “Whatever It Takes,” about two journalists targeted in a Silicon Valley Scandal, has been released in conjunction with its festival screenings.
The clip shows journalists Ina and David Steiner — who are the targets of an online harassment campaign, subjected to cyberstalking threats and bizarre deliveries — receiving what appears to be a pig fetus, the first of many abnormal packages.
“We got your order for the ‘wet specimen,'” a phone operator says in the clip. When the Steiners follow up to ask what exactly a “wet specimen” is, Ina turns to the audience to reveal that the operator told her that it’s a “pig fetus.”
“So we asked her, what’s a ‘wet specimen,’ and she goes, ‘Oh, it’s a pig fetus.'”
The clips also show the Steiners being on the receiving end of many online expletive-laced messages.

Prime Video's original animated series, Hazbin Hotel was finally released, and since then, fans have been raving about the mature nature of the story. The series focuses on a group of demons who were sinners in life and sent to Hell as punishment. In an attempt to thin Hell's numbers, these demons decide to change their ways, hoping to redeem their souls and ascend to Heaven.
At first glance, many potential viewers might write this series off as childish because of the animated format, but they couldn't be more wrong. The art style and medium allow more creative freedom to get the concept across. The animation is also whimsical and over the top, emphasizing the fantastical elements of the world. One thing is certain: despite Hazbin Hotel being a cartoon, it is not for children.
The Soundtrack Invokes Complex Emotions Andrew Underberg and Sam Haft wrote and composed Hazbin Hotel's soundtrack.

Exclusive: Leslie Small has been set to direct the buddy comedy Happy V-Day and actioner The Raid, under a two-picture deal with Winter State Entertainment. Prep on both titles is underway, with production dates to be set upon the resolution of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
The deal speaks to the move back into narrative features that Winter State has undertaken, after pivoting to docs during the pandemic.
Written by Winter State principals Hamid and Camille Torabpour, Happy V-Day tells the story of two best friends who look to get vasectomies, at the behest of their wives, together confronting the horrors of “the snip.”

The boxing pic directed by Winter State principals Hamid and Camille Torabpour, which wrapped production prior to the strikes, spotlights Tommy ‘The Hitman’ Hearns, the legendary Detroit fighter who, between 1977 and 2006, won titles in five different weight divisions.
Inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in the summer of 2012, Hearns is known for displaying one of the most devastating punches in the history of the sport and for not being afraid to mix it up, sometimes to his own detriment. Exclusive: Winter State Entertainment on Tuesday announced two feature docs on NFL Hall of Famer Mel Blount and MLB icon Tommy John that will lead its forthcoming slate, having wrapped principal photography on each right before the launch of the WGA strike.
The first film, Mel Blount: Whatever It Takes, on longtime Pittsburgh Steeler Blount, will offer a deep dive into his life journey, from his arduous beginning in a segregated Vidalia, Georgia to getting drafted in the 3rd round by the struggling Steelers, to the next 14 years, where he won four championships and cemented himself as the best at his position as cornerback. Upon retirement, Blount shifted his focus towards kids who were stuck in the system, opening two youth homes to give them a chance to turn their lives around, even when the community and KKK pushed back against him. Now, 40 years later, Blount has afforded this opportunity to hundreds.

[This article contains spoilers for Sunday’s series finale of Succession. Duh.]
It was always going to get Biblical on Succession.
It was always going to come down to birthrights and which Roy sibling, or possibly in-law or maybe distant relative, was going to maneuver the selling of the family birthright — or, rather, corporation — for somewhere between a mess of pottage and several billion dollars. Or a fancy title at a dead-on-its-feet company. Or the token promise of a social media empire.
So yes, Succession was always going to be a show about the corruption of 21st-century business empires and the complicated and corrosive connection between the media and politics. It was always going to be a show that we had to discuss in terms of How We’re Living Now or, rather, How We Want to Believe the Horrible People Who Run Everything Are Living Now. But what is that show’s cultural shelf life? Three months? Five years?...

Exclusive: Tami Roman will executive produce and star in the BET+ holiday film Whatever It Takes from Swirl Films and Roman Ramsey Productions premiering later this year.
“We wanted to create a film that would not only entertain but also resonate with people during the holiday season,” said Roman. “It’s a story that showcases the beauty of love and the power of forgiveness, even in the face of the most challenging situations.”
From writers TuShonda Whitaker and Amaleka McCall Brathwaite, Whatever It Takes focuses on how messy the holidays can be. Sure, it’s typically the time for love and friendship but that’s not what this movie is about.

Update: Rep. Liz Cheney (R-wy), soundly defeated in her primary against a Trump-backed challenger, said that “now the real work begins,” as she vowed to prevent the former president from returning to the presidency.
As pundits weighed the possibility that Cheney would wage a 2024 presidential run, she used her concession speech to reinforce how she chose principle over party, delivering a stinging rebuke of Trump and Republicans who support him. She also warned that Trump continues to stoke violent threats.
“Two years ago, I won this primary with 73 of the vote,” she said. “I could easily have done the same again. The path was clear, but it would have required that I go along with President Trump’s lie about the 2020 election. It would have require that I enable his ongoing efforts to unravel our democratic system and attack the foundations of our republic. That was a path I could not and would not take.

Twenty years ago, there was a very good chance you were nursing a serious crush on Shane West. Just six months away from his breakout performance in 2002's A Walk to Remember, West was one of Hollywood's hottest young stars, slowly but steadily racking up roles in teen movies, such as Whatever It Takes, and hit TV shows, including a quick appearance on Boy Meets World. But after A Walk to Remember turned him into a bona fide leading man, West, now 43, did something unexpected: He chose to diversify his career rather than capitalize on the success of the movie with more of the same. He starred in indies. He was the lead singer of the band Johnny Was. He joined the cast of ER, kicking off a long and...

Part of the fun of watching “The Masked Singer” is making guesses as to the real identities of the celebrity contestants. We’ve been fans of the Frog ever since he appeared alongside the rest of Group B in episode 4. He is the last contender still standing of the six stars who started out in this group. He is competing on the May 20 final against the Night Angel and the Turtle for the Golden Mask.

The Frog is coming on strong at just the right time as season 3 of “The Masked Singer” reaches the quarter-final stage on May 6. The Frog made it to the final five with his change-of pace performance of “Whatever It Takes” by Imagine Dragons last Wednesday. The Frog had the four judges jumping for joy.
He has emerged as one of the top contenders to win the Golden Mask based on his energetic covers. He made his debut on the show with a rollicking rendition of “U Can’t Touch This” by Mc Hammer and followed up with equally lively versions of “Jump” by Kris Kross, “You Dropped a Bomb on Me” by The Gap Band, “In da Club” by 50 Cent and “Fireball” by Pitbull.
We’ve rewatched all of these performance and his clues video. We are certain we know who is ready to hop out of that Frog costume.
