    The Tsortese Falchion?

I recently finished this RPG and it is brilliant. The references to numerous Bogart pictures will have nostalgists splitting their sides. Fans of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books will enjoy it too. The graphics are top of the class. The voice work is good too, with Rob Brydon as private eye Lewton stealing the show. THE YOUNG ONES' Nigel Planer is in there as, among others, a luckless wizard gambler and a one-armed zombie. RED DWARF's Robert Llewellyn is also there as a Sidney Greenstreet-esque troll. Get this game and you'll love it.

    Technically lousy.

This game has some pretty serious technical flaws. The character animations are simple loops, which often don't loop smoothly. The frame rate is low in all the animations except Lewton's, and the characters have a tendency to snap back to their static frame when they're not talking. But I like it.

The game's plot transcends all these technical flaws to make for quite a pleasant experience, with definite addiction factor ;) The film noir style is great, and works surprisingly well with the Ankh Morpork atmosphere.

Some fiendish puzzles, the odd bit of screen sweeping, and a very neat twist at the end. Recommended for Discworld fans. Others might find it just a little too tedious.

    • Trivia
In Rhodan's workshop there are some sculptures made by staff at Perfect Entertainment, including the bust of Rhodan himself, an Elven Queen from the 2nd Discworld Game, and a single large Pythonesque foot. Most obscurely there is a statue of postal pioneer Thomas Fletcher Waghorn which replicates the real world statue that stands in Chatham, Kent, hometown of one of the artists on the project. When Malachite is first encountered here, he is sitting in the position of Rodin's 'The Thinker' something that was difficult to carry off considering Malachites ungainly body structure and his unfeasibly long forearms.

Lewton: The river Ankh - probably the only river in the universe on which it is possible to chalk the outline of a corpse.
