Interesting, humorous but not clear as to it's intent

When I sat down to watch this I had assumed it was the music video/short film `An Eye for an Eye' which is an anti-war animation with music from Unkle. However it was not. What it was, was a foreign film that appeared to be anti-vigilantism, but it wasn't totally clear on that point. The plot appeared to have back story which I found it hard to pick up on, although that may have been my fault, and it also had a reasonable dark humour. The main body of the short is her quiet vengeance served on anyone who tries to steal from her and the consequences for her.

However the ending is open and didn't leave me with any firm conclusions. Although I took away from it that this was anti-violence it could easily be interpreted in the opposite way! The film failed to make a strong point - and that's it's failing. The humour isn't good enough to carry it and the repeated hand attacks dull after a moment leaving only the point - and when it doesn't come it is a bit of a letdown. The lady is the lead is good but her character prevented me from relating to her in any way.

Given that even the dread Michael Winner managed to make a good (if heavy-handed) film on the subject, I was surprised that Lund failed to mak e a firm point. At 4 minutes this is worth a watch but the lack of point may leave you feeling as disappointed as I was.
