If this is available in any form other than 16mm, make sure that the 3-D is mentioned and intact. The whole premise of this is absurd, and the intro to how and when the 3-D is about to appear makes this pic one hilarious bit of business. Plus, Al Parker fans, look close! There is one fresh appendectomy scar appearing. I'm not 100% sure, but this may be '70s gay-porn idol Roger's first film. Seeing this in theatrical release with an audience helps immensely in truly appreciating the whole of it. A gem?

This really is a silly little gay skin-flick, but I've got to hand it to Lancer Brooks, the director, for coming up with a story that gives a reason for going from 2-D to 3-D ~ and for having the ambition to make a 3-D sex movie. There isn't very much 3-D gay porn out there so for that alone it stands out in its genre. Add in several men who were or would become the icons of gay adult movies and magazines of the 70's, an imaginative story, and an outdated music track (even for its time) and you have a real unique film. Caballero DVD (Vidco StarGaze) has a print of this out on DVD, but the color is rather bad and the quality is grainy, so the 3-D effect is almost completely lost. Someone should restore this film and re-release it in HD (with 3-D glasses)!

I saw this in San Francisco when it first came out, at one of the theaters on Market Street. The theater was packed, which was not, I think, the norm for weekday matinées of porn films. Needless to say, you feel like you're in danger of getting poked in the eye through the whole thing. Roger, in particular, almost hit the back wall of the theater. Although the stars were some of the most popular gay porn stars of all time, nobody in the theater seemed to regard it as an erotic experience. Everyone was laughing hysterically. When you see a regular film in 3D, you always have the impression that they've gone off mission by sticking things right into the camera and squirting things at it. It seems like the natural course of events in this film, so maybe it's time for a gay 3D porn renaissance.
