(1966) As Long As You Got Your Health
(In French with English subtitles)
COMEDY
Co-written, directed and starring Pierre Étaix that has him involve involve with four skits or satires to which I thought the first one was the most innovative.
First story; I - L'insomnie that has actor Pierre Étaix playing the guy who is unable to sleep, so he decides to read about a scary book about a vampire. At this point, viewers get to see what he is reading about to which it is shown in black and white. It involves two guys and one lady with the vampire going through corridors.
The second story called "The Movies" showcases many examples of some of the problems that happens in the movies mocking seating arrangements and people get up from their seats to having seats placed behind aisles and columns where the movie itself would be hard to watch. A little outdated since people are these days are assigned to their seats or have the option to choose which seat he or she want to sit on.
The third story; As Long As You Got Your Health that showcases a guy using a jackhammer, before the it shows other noisy construction tools being used affecting other people's daily life from dust and rubble to the vibration being so bad that it would be knocking pictures off from walls and tipping vases and other objects to the floor. It also restricts traffic and flow movement of people.
The Final short satire- IV called Into The Woods No More has four people interrupting one another whereas we have one person attempting to go hunting but needing to criss cross back and through a connected wire fence. At the same time, a couple is trying to go on a picnic, shown are the many mishaps regarding their picnic bag. It goes wrong and does not go accordingly from hanging it up to lying it down- the food seems to come out regardless. The same with the guy putting up his fence and the hunter.
I would have enjoyed them if I was like seen them if I was younger, but as an adult they are quite tame.
