Director Franco Zeffirelli had just worked with Richard Burton on "The Taming of the Shrew" and enlisted Burton as narrator for the documentary film about the Florence flood of 1966. Burton recorded the dialogue in both English and Italian. The film's release was used as a fundraiser for relief efforts.
