    One of Sony´s best

Tomb Raider 2 is one of Sony´s best games ever. Very good sequel to nr 1. Lara´s movement looks good. But this is more difficult than nr 1.

I think Tomb Raider 1 & 2 is the best in the series, nr 5 is the worst. It has absolutely nothing to give that we already have not seen. I hope that they do something new with Lara & Tomb Raider for Play Station 2. I can´t wait to see the movie with sugar babe Angelina Jolie. She is perfect for the role and i hope that they use elements from the game. So we can feel that we watch a Tomb Raider movie. Tomb Raider 1 & 2 along side with Resident Evil series & final Fantasy series are the best of Sony and game history.

More Gun-Totin' Cliff-Jumpin' Action from Eidos

This game is even more difficult than the original, but once again the game's Music and Graphics make up for it. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Graphics make up for bad Gameplay, but, that's where the Gameplay itself comes to mention, despite being difficult, the controls are easy to get used to, but specifics areas are more difficult than others.

This is the Tomb Raider I play the most of in the series.

    The Best!

Tomb Raider, the sequel to Tomb Raider 1 must i say more. This Tomb Raider has got to be the best Tomb Raider of them all. The story is just plain better than all of them together. The latest Tomb Raider 4 was just too plain confusing, and 3 was o.k. but it was missing something. The only thing that was good in Tomb Raider 3 would have to be probably the dune buggy. Tomb Raider 2. The story was great but it could have improved a bit, and i think a lot of people would agree with me on that one.

She looks up, jumps drawing her guns... in hicolor & 3D Lara

Lara Croft, 1997. Reason to upgrade your system. Technology meets mass production meeting the art of videogaming. In Pacman (1980) you were responsible for the hero moving in a maze with enemies and bonus items ... Now with graphic cards and memory and cpu upgrades, Tomb Raider II or the Lara Croft legend starts here. A classic.

    Heroine Chic

I loved playing almost every moment of this game. The scenery and music, especially in Venice and Tibet, are fantastic and mesmerizing. Lara encounters mercenaries as well as wild animals, and some strange surprises that are best left to find out for yourself. Lara is one happening chic, a true heroine. She shows off her stuff and let's the crime bosses know who's the boss. I like this game because it has the style and scenery of an adventure game, the mind-challengers of a puzzle, and the action of a shooter, all with a woman in the lead. This one also requires a little more strategy than the first one, and isn't as hair-wrenching as the third. Just right.

    • Quotes

Lara Croft: [aims her pistol at Claudio] Pardon me, if that was just your way of trying the doors for me.

Claudio: Hahaha! With the tommy gun on my key-ring?

Lara Croft: [continues aiming] Though not anymore. So, after you.

Claudio: Somehow, you don't behave like you've got a monk's blood.

Lara Croft: I understand that "somehow" is in my favour. So indulge me about the dagger. I'd be indebted with your life.

Claudio: These doors are waiting for the right one, the right time to arrive, and then the dagger's blade will honor the hearts of those who believe.

[Claudio takes out a bottle of poison and opens the cap.]

Lara Croft: So unless you pledge your loyalty as well... And which one is that?

Claudio: To the sins and fortunes of Marco Bartoli!

[Claudio drinks the poison and dies instantly.]

Lara Croft: Perhaps not just yet, then.

    • Crazy credits
Just before the credits roll, Lara heads for the showers and just before she takes off her blue robe, she looks at you (gameplayer), says "don't you think you've seen enough," and then blow you away with her shot gun.
    • Alternate versions
In 1999, two years after Tomb Raider 2 came out, Eidos re-released the game as "Tomb Raider 2 Gold". The new version included the original plus fives bonus levels on a second CD. The new levels comprise a separate mini-adventure entitled "The Golden Mask," in which Lara heads to Alaska in search of the Mask of Tornarsuk. According to legend, this relic bestows powers of re-animation on its wearer. This time Lara goes up against a band of mercenaries also bent on possessing the mask. The four main levels take Lara from an abandoned Russian mining base to the remains of ancient Inuit settlement, then into a tropical Shangri-La hidden beneath the complex.
