Golden Age of Argentine Aviation (and moral values)

I am going to recommend this movie for all people who cherished classic cinema : It's a 1951 argentine film production, coming from a time when cinema industry in my country was blossoming and with a lot of influences coming from Hollywood and Pinewood in England.

The story summarizes the adventures of a new cadre of pilots in the Military Aviation School (Cordoba, at the center of the country), their fears and struggles through their 4 years of training.

One of the trainees, played by Juan Carlos Barbieri, suffers the pressure of being the son of a legendary pilot in the force, a record distance breaker, who without intention (but very common specially in those years) set an impossible image to match.

The others pilots makes a somewhat merry gang, with the funny one (player by a very young Juan Carlos Altavista, later a comedy icon of television) as an effective comedic relief.

It also have a confrontation about a beautiful girl, in the spirit of the classic movies of the era.

One of the most impressive background includes the planes itself: Martin B10 Bomber, Gloster Meteor Jet fighters, Fiat G-46, Avro lancaster and Lincoln Bombers, showing the strong capabilities the newly established Argentine Air Force had at the time.

For a movie from the early 50's, it's somewhat naive and simple, but accomplished the entertainment requirements and is a great window to a somewhat forgotten era, and spectacular views for the aviotion buffs.
