Read allThe Master Demon: Centuries ago, a demonic fury is pitted against a white warrior in an epic battle with mankind in the balance. The fatally wounded white warrior severs the Demon's hand and takes it to a Shaolin Temple to prevent the Demon from ever becoming whole again. Both a horrid nightmare and a deadly omen for martial arts master Tong Lee in the present day.

      I watched the whole movie

Well what can be expected with zero budget. On the other hand the movie has some highlights and it turns out just like the movies we make here for zero budget. Fun to watch for those who understand the background and a complete waste for those who want mainstream. My best moment is when the "Butte Police" character is at home and wastes some time in the sofa and stares around thinking of something to do. I guess the script said "sit in the sofa" and he had to think of the rest himself. I recommend it for people who makes home action movies for fun. There are some good punch-scenes also and some that could benefit from some more timing..

      It is what it is.

      In defense of the film;

It had a budget that would make Robert Rodriegez of "El Mariachi" fame go into shock... less that the price of a low budgeted screenplay, and was made with a desire to pay homage to John Carpenter's "Big Trouble In Little China" featuring many of the martial artists appearing in that film with the added intention of showcasing the character of "Medusa" for another feature in the works, before the actress's untimely death, about a "warrior princess" that years later inspired "Xena".

      Sincerely The film maker.

      Stick with it...

I nearly knocked it on the head after the first 15m. Then I read the reviews and kept it on...

Bad acting, Effects, dialogue, fights...and face ripping (For no reason).

It has to be a spoof!

      Boring

This was one of the biggest wastes of time I have ever witnessed. VERY bad acting, monotonous action sequences (hey 10 ninja's, hey another 10 ninja's) and the 'martial arts' looked like they came straight out of a power rangers episode. Several inconsistencies. Where did cameron come from after the master demon was defeated? Bad acting. People look like they are reading boards while speaking their lines. The weapons looked like cardboard with some paint. Who choreographed the fights? The worst fights I have ever seen in any movie EVER (even jeff trent's suckerpunch in plan 9 looked more believable) Worst lighting I have ever seen (every shot featured 10-meter shadows even while people were talking ?) The story was ok, but overall this was a pretty bad movie which I was hoping to END, END, END as long as it lasted.

      A really cheap kung-fu/karate crap-fest.

Centuries ago, a White Warrior (Eric Lee) vanquishes The Master Demon (Gerald Okamura) by chopping off its hand, which is taken to a Shaolin temple where it is placed in a wooden box and guarded by a monk. Cut to the present day, where martial artist Tong Lee (also played by Lee, sporting a cropped, mesh t-shirt!) is charged with defeating the forces of evil, who are attempting to restore The Master Demon to full power by reuniting him with his hand. Teaming up with private eye Cameron (Steve Nave) and overweight cop Wayne (with a little help from Wayne's big-breasted Karate girlfriend Jan, played by Ava Cadell), Tong does battle with countless demonic baddies, including a muscle-bound female demon who has been taking style tips from Tina Turner and Cher, before finally facing The Master Demon.

The Master Demon is a total mess, with a terrible script, lousy special effects, awful performances, poorly choreographed fight scenes (in which the stunt-men clearly wait to be hit or thrown), and a voice-over that attempts to add exposition, but which only makes matters even more confusing. It's also incredibly boring for much of its running time, only picking up in the final act, which is so unintentionally hilarious that its hard not to enjoy on some level. For those brave enough to sit through this crud, here are the film's more memorable bits:

A man screaming "No pictures!!!" and then stamping on a woman's camera.

A 'respected business' whose company sign is written in marker pen on a piece of cardboard.

A Mexican restaurant that features quite possibly the worst Latina band in history.

A severed hand scuttling across the floor.

A man with his face peeled off.

Jan romping naked with her portly policeman boyfriend.

Medusa (Kay Baxter Young), the female demon, punching a building, causing it to collapse.

Tong Lee suddenly performing monkey style kung fu (easily the funniest thing about the whole film).
