MIDNIGHT HUSTLE is most underwhelming. It's a quickie, currently available in abbreviated form from Alpha Blue Archives.
Episodic format has a couple of femme students Lisa and Connie (Marsha Wolfe and Yvonne Green), introduced on campus with their boy friends (including Jon Martin).
The girls periodically take the train to Frisco to sow their wild (meaning XXX) oats. John Seeman plays a serviceman who plays a drinking game with them, and services them -he has lots of experience in these fake-pederast movies.
Martin & his buddy (unsuccessful porn wannabe Michael Orion) put on stupid disguises to track their girls' whereabouts, but lose the scent. Connie expresses a desire to be "fucked in the ass", and Turk Lyon obliges, introducing both her and Lisa to anal sex. Meanwhile the boys are sent to a hotel room by a street pimp to get laid at $30 a pop (big money back then).
After further non-adventures, the girls come home late (wearing horrible wigs) and protest their innocence when confronted by the boys. An idiotic ending has them acquiescing to a double-date at a XXX Drive-in Theater, but they slip away once there, headed back to the city for more debauchery.
Unfortunately for me, I will have to watch this junker again, in a longer version, to see what's missing. The 45-minute ABA edition garbles several scenes, notably an opener with delectable Joan Devlon as a nurse in a XXX gynecological exam opposite doctor Tyler Reynolds. As is, this is simply not up to the high standards one associates with the filmmaker behind quality porn like DIXIE and VALERIE.
