You're gonna see a lot of camping footage in this supposed documentary about "bigfoot" as a group of people go on an expedition and find nothing apart from what they convince themselves that they find. Pretty boring in places, but a mild historical curiosity.
I don't know why these so-called experts on hunting Bigfoot have no common sense at all. The female Naturalist was in tears because of the failed mission. The mission failed because of stupidity. Wildfires happen everytime around the same time of year. It was also too hot, so your compromising your stamina, dealing with thousands of insects, snakes, etc. Then the leader prohibited carrying any self-protective arms and gave a bogus reason for it. Why not make that expedition in late winter/early spring or late fall/early winter? The expedition would have had a better success, with hibernating animals, less insects, less snake/wild animal encounters, no wildfires, etc. It's a shame to have all those degrees with no common sense or wisdom. Smh. 😆
In Search of Bigfoot (1976)

This here is a mildly entertaining documentary that follows Bigfoot enthusiast Bob Morgan as he searches various locations including Mount Saint Helens in hopes of finding the legendary creature.
IN SEARCH OF BIGFOOT sounds like it might have been connected to the Leonard Nimoy series but it wasn't. This here was a stand-alone documentary that isn't the greatest film on the subject but at the same time I give it credit for being a serious look at the creature, the people who hunt it and as a document of those who have seen it.
I think the best thing this film has going for it is how it follows the believers as they search for the creature. Just look at Morgan's eyes at anytime during the picture when people are talking to him about what they have seen. There's just something in his eyes that shows the passion that he has for the subject as well as the desire to want to see for himself and track it down.
The film is best whenever we see Morgan simply talking about what he does and why he has such a need to find the creature. It should go without saying but we never get to see anything but I reckon that is to be expected. The film certainly feels a bit long at just 74-minutes but at the same time the characters are certainly interesting enough to make it worth watching.

This was a load of carp. They are interviewing people who do not have the correct accent for the area, they sound like they should be on the east coast in the hills. The Morgan character is full of himself! I see these other reviews giving high marks, they must be getting royalties for the sale of videos. They find a track of a supposed Bigfoot, the track was smaller than my foot. Someone said it was a camping video, what a camping video for idiots? The fires they were building is likely what set the forest on fire. Very unpolished morons barely in the forest, This doc is a total load of carp.
