Not just a member of the Terry Tocantins Fan Club....

...I'm also the president. Just kidding. But Terry Tocantins, a writer and comic who I've seen perform in Los Angeles and who appeared on "Ally McBeal" for a bit, is so exceptional, that this otherwise forgettable film would not even be worth mentioning. But his electrifying performance is just too hard to ignore. Someone needs to grab this guy and start creating movies around him. A true original.

    dark modern fairy-tale

This short starts with the premise that fairies have been forced out of their homes in the European forests and emigrate to the USA. The story follows Jack, who proposes to his fairy girlfriend, Jill. Before she can accept, he must convince her mother, Baba Yaga, to allow the marriage.

People should note this is not a children's story. It follows many fairy-tale concepts, but there are modern twists to it, and it is very much dark fantasy. Like Neil Gaiman's written work, this is a fairy-tale for adults who enjoy them.

    Extreme

Odd little film about mortals and fairies. Something about this movie has always stayed with me. It's a memorable piece of filmmaking. Low budget, but exceptionally well made. The performances are all sharp, especially the lead--who should be a star. Very original.
