A nothing video about finding a "girl next door" to star in a big new movie is typical of VHS era quickies. It's about as basic and uninteresting as porn can get.
Written and directed by David Cameron who I strongly believe did not become prime minister of the UK two decades after this video was made, it features plenty of slow motion in its five sex scenes. Scott Irish plays Dick James, nicknamed Doctor Dick, who is casting for a movie and at wit's end: the ladies up for the part all look great, but none of them have the required "girl next door" look, a cliche I've heard since I was too young to buy Playboy magazine.
His friend Blackie (played by Billy Dee, with a surprising conversation later on with pal Randy West who points out to him "You don't look Black", a rare admonition that Dee is an interracial star) owns a crummy bar where he valiantly auditions some beauties for Scott. So does Randy West.
A new girl in town, Stacy Lords, proves to be the choice. She's sampled in a threesome by Randy and Billy, and then gets the casting couch action by Scott. Feature ends with her signing a contract with Irish for a $20,000 advance and $100,000 payment when the movie is actually shot -big money back then and unbelievably high numbers for 2024!
Star billing above the title goes to Tianna and Charisma, both rejected regarding casting by the fictional Dr. Dick. Somehow Stacy Lords does not look like the girl next door, but then I grew up in Cleveland Heights so perhaps I'm not the one to judge.
