Not bad for a rental. Predictable.

We fall into a trap of predictability with this one. Even if you haven't seen "Passenger 57" you just KNOW as soon as you see the prisoners being loaded on a 747 that they are going to break loose and raise all sorts of havoc. And you just KNOW the guy who caught the bad guy in the first place is going to be involved in catching him again.

And you just KNOW some pretty female passenger is going to be involved. This time its Brittany Daniel, who I last saw as a temporary love-interest in Dawson's Creek. More than just a pretty face, we should see more of her.

All said, I thought the movie was pretty well done. It kept up a good pace and the bad guy carries the movie the way he is supposed to. The hero is boring and looks and sounds alltogether too much like a Bruce Willis knockoff.

Better Than Turbulence and Passenger 57

This Movie was excellent great story great actors and great ending

Ive seen Turbulence and Passenger 57 and none of them compare to this movie Agent Nick Halton (James Russo) a former navy seal Has been tracking the Phychotic Killer Jeremy Barrett (Michael Harris) for 3 years he finnally catches him and Barrett is then transported and handed over to the FBI But when Barrett gets on the plane he Hijacks it and is threatning to crash the plane into a populated area its up to Nick to finish Jeremy barrett once and for all Ice T did a good job with his role even though it was not even a 45 minute roll Brittany Daniel also did a good job with her roll this movie also has some comedy in it that really made me laugh especially Michael Harris's character this is definetly a movie to see

    How you'll laugh!

Under no circumstances take this movie seriously! Expect to laugh - a lot. If you hold onto this frame of mind (tightly), this movie is actually pretty cool.

It's the oldie but goodie plotline - bad guy transported on commercial airliner gets free of inept captors and takes entire plane hostage.

My, my, my. How I giggled! Everything from Michael Harris' sarcasm; James Russo's scarily eerie ability to seemingly go for long stretches of time without blinking; the hole in the cockpit; every stray bullet's attraction to the cockpit.... was it intentionally amusing? I think not. Is Ice-T's acting shocking? It is. Is the movie worth watching? Oh yes. :::snigger:::

    Stay away

I rented this movie looking for a light, easy action flick. This movie was a TOTAL WASTE. This story has been done and repeated many times. Stick with 'Passenger 57' or some other major movie. Ice T is not what I would call a decent actor, but this was a total waste of his talent. This movie is totally predictable right from the start.

I wished they had edited this one better!

I guess what amazes me the most is how poor a job the director did in editing and continuity of this film. It's bad enough that they used so much inflight footage of the "Airport 75" classic movie, but there are so many disconnects, it's screwy. First, the plane was supposed to make an emergency landing in San Bernadino or somewhere, when it was actually Salt Lake City. The airport scenes there showed the airfield from way back in the early 1970s, so it's not too close to the actual time frame of the movie at all. The crash/fire/rescue trucks even said "Salt Lake City Fire Department" on them. Then, the medical personnel on the plane after it landed had jumpsuits that said "Los Angeles City Fire Department EMS" on them.

The cockpit scenes showed a 3-engine plane's controls, when they were really flying in a 4-engine Boeing 747.

Oh, well, it was fun to watch anyway!
