Bad film, but some reason I liked it.

This is a bad film. I know I shouldn't have given it a 5, but more like a 2 or 3. But the story is a little different although it involves the revenge plotline like almost every other 70's - 80's kung fu film. The fights are dull, but not the worst I seen. Yet some reason I like it. Maybe because of its country-bumpkin charm, cheesy soundtrack, or humor.

It is a classic bad kung fu film that is bad with a sense of style.

              incredible shaolin confusion

I don't really know exactly what the movie is about. I know it's a general revenge flick, terrible kung-fu plot line and all. I couldn't decide if I should vote it really low or really high, because while it was terrible, I really thought it was enjoyably hilarious. This is about as bizarre as the genre gets. Well, that's probably an overstatement. Here's some highlights:

man gets his manhood smashed off, people make fun of him for being a girl, so his sifu gives him acupuncture and he's suddenly a man again.

same guys fighting improves exponentially when he drinks buckets of water, making him as "full as a pregnant dog."

take that as you will. Rent it if you like to laugh.

From water girl to kung fu boy

The daughter of a restaurant owner gets kidnapped. The water boy (who's almost a girl because his wee-wee was chopped off) want to free her. But therefor he first has to become a real man with real kung fu skills. So he starts training with an old guy.

As with a lot of movies made by Kuo you can skip the first hour and start where the training sessions begin. Although there're some good fighting scenes in the beginning, the bad acting and humor make you lose your attention and do something else. But the last half hour consists of some good and fast paced fights.

The ending makes me think of Jackie Chan's fearless Hyena, in which first his master gets his peace of action, after which trainee takes over. And I must say that this guy has some awesome kicking techniques as well as his Santa-like opponent. 6/10
