Purple is the color of love

And not just because it's my favourite color of all times but also because this series, more or less, albeit starting with the typical Toku stuff about overdramatic/over-the-top villains trying to infiltrate society it ends being more or less something in vein of Winspector and Solbrain where the villains were not one dimensional villains not going outside the exploding monster trope but people with human, relatable motives behind them, with the only exception being Bill Goldy who gets dispatched without much of an elaboration behind his actions. Really good and entertaining series with cool costumes and gadgets (in particular the DarkJey Car, which is hands down better than the Batmobile ever was by a mile) that unfortunately loses a bit of steam towards the end, but whatever it still ends on a more positive note than something like Kamen Rider Ryuki did in my book. All in all, recommended.

    Japanese Robocop

All kids in the 80s wanted to see the robocop movie from 1987 but couldn't because it was way too violent and directed by the most perverted director Paul Verhooven. In 1993 Japan made the kids dream come true, with JanPerson mix of Robocop and the Sentai franchise.

A corrupt government man who loves lollipop plan to take over Tokyo with an Iron Fist, he creates humanoid robots to make chaos in the city. Suddenly a purple robot appears and fight back against the humanoids, his name is JanPerson.

It wasn't a big hit like Bioman and Jettoman but it's a great series that brings your favorite toy to life, and the best part is JanPerson actor never takes off his mask, so the mystery is well kept.
