I'm sure Segundo de Chomon didn't direct the marriage, just the placement of the cameras around the event as appropriately as the security people would permit him. This was the King being married after all, and even if Sr. de Chomon is a very distinguished director and Pathe wants to run it in all their theaters.....

In any case, de Chomon was a fine cameraman, and there was ample precedence for shooting (in a cinematic sense) such events: first the carriages on the street, accompanied by cavalry in their best 18th century uniforms, every carriage horse crowned; then the members of the wedding walking up the stairs of the Cathedral; then departing. All the pageantry except for what goes on inside the Cathedral and that, of course, is invitation only.
