I have such happy memories of 'Twizzle'...those crazy improbable stretchy limbs of his, that happy face and optimistic voice.
Twizzle must have been one of my first TV experiences, and was part of the BBC 'Watch with Mother' series. I used to love watching the show when I was a child, waiting expectantly for it to begin, sitting cross-legged on the lounge room floor, after lunch and before my afternoon nap. Awww!
I would dearly love to see some of those old episodes again...along with Andy Pandy, the Woodentops, and Ben & Ben.
I often wonder if the program is as I remember?
Does anyone know how to get copies?
I cannot believe they have been deleted and no longer exist.

If Gerry Briley is correct then for reasons of posterity, someone from Gerry Andersons production company or someone like Carlton Video (who own most of the distribution rights to Andersons works in the UK) should get out to Saudi Arabia and locate these missing episodes. failing that, if Gerry Riley can locate those betamax tapes then he could approach Anderson or Carlton and offer to sell them. It'd be a shame to miss this opportunity to preserve these episodes ( i for one have never seen this show as it was made years before i was born) and i'm sure someone will make Mr Riley a handsome offer for those tapes. If anyone knows how to contact Gerry Anderson maybe they can make him aware of this?
Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction. My wife loved the 1957 television series Twizzle and has recently undertook to searching the internet for any available clips or information about the TV series. Although she has found several web sites with limited information she hasn't been able to view any clips or order a DVD/video, much to her disappointment. I would therefore like to surprise her at Christmas with a Twizzle DVD or clip, if at all Possible of course. I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance in this matter. If this series is before any copyright law I would welcome and pay for any copies from personal collections etc. Thank you. Best regards Andy
I have probably seen almost every episodes of Twizzle on British television. Along with "The Woodentops", Twizzle was a great favorite of mine as a child. Over twenty years later, I spotted the tapes in a souk (open air market) in downtown Jeddah and bought several. It quickly became a big hit with my own children who watched the tapes for many years with their own childhood friends in the USA. Its an early animated story about a small boy who was always getting into scrapes with his various friends, and then getting out of them with his curious ability to be able to stretch his arms and legs to triple their normal length. I believe I still have around twenty episodes on Betamax video which I purchased in Saudi Arabia in around 1979, and as of last year they were still selling them. In this case, thank goodness they have no copyright laws!
Wow had no idea these episodes existed! Gerry if you ever check on here I would be very interested in buying or getting copies of these if you would be interested? You said these were still available as late as 2005? If so I take it they are on VHS or DVD? Do you have any type of contact info of where I could buy copies if you do not want to sell yours? I've been trying to track down these episodes for a while. If they are still available I would love to somehow get a copy. Please let me know if you would be interested. I've seen the first episode and this would be an interesting series to have in my collection. If you ever read this Gerry and have any info or would like to talk about selling your copies please let me know and we could work something out I'm sure!
