    • Trivia
Ludwig Schmitz and Jupp Hussels both starred in the propagandistic short clips "Tran und Helle", which were usually shown in the movie theaters in 1939-1940 before the newsreels. Ludwig Schmitz was playing Tran, who was portrayed as a foolish naive man who falls wants to read foreign books, read foreign newspapers, hear English radio etc. while Jupp Hussels was portraying Helle, who is quite the opposite and , according to the propaganda, a "faithful Aryan" who is teaching Tran how to act like a "real German" and is showing him the "real way". In Autumn 1940 the short clip series was canceled because the government feared that the viewers would sympathize more with Tran rather than with Helle.
