    This could have been better...

Dorf on the diamond really makes fun of fans and announcers, more than the sport of baseball. This is really the way to try to make a funny video, but it just seems to play to long and is not all that funny. Highlights, or the main event are/is the peanut vendor sequence. A peanut vendor going through signs to sell nuts is a hilarious idea, but 50cents a bag?? Since when are they that cheap, especially since a hotdog and coke is shown to cost $6.

In the video, Dorf also has some dream sequences, about him playing in and managing baseball, but in most cases the kid shows up and steals Dorf's thunder. Why would the kid be in Dorf's dream though??

In all, Dorf's dream sequences should be cut out of fast forwarded through, the rest is decent (yet not great) stuff.

Additionally, Dorf's antics in the parking lot are good and the finale/post/during credit sequnce is at least novel.

Dorf is better at golf, but at least this beats his fishing.

Not terribly entertaining in this reviewer's mind

Well, I can't see I thoroughly enjoyed Dorf on the Diamond. I am a big fan of baseball but felt this short video mostly failed in its attempt at humor and hilarious antics like a peanuts vendor and Dorf using sign language to make a sell, or the beginning when Dor pulls into the parking lot of the stadium completely alone and all of a sudden both sides are taken up by cars and he has to climb out throuh the roof. At times, I found his accent mildy amusing but felt it dragged on and on (despite being only 30 or 40 minutes in length)

ll right! Now, you step into that batter's box, you own this territory, you got that? You let that pitcher know that you are here to stay. Got that?

Tim Conway's Dorf goes to baseball in this mildly amusing episode. The location is Lancaster Municipal Stadium in Lancaster, California. He enjoyed the game and showed why it's still considered America's great pastime. Dorf entertains a kid in the seats and there are junior leaguers as well. Dorf brings the enjoyment of baseball to the small screen.

    Very Funny!

I can't honestly say I was a big fan of Dorf, but not having seen Tim Conway in too much lately, I picked up a copy of this film, and what a wonderful surprise I received. It was a riot!

Tim Conway is one of the funniest comics ever. I love his sense of humor and I found this tape really very funny, laugh out loud funny. Tim is the Man! His "little" Dorf character is great and never gets old and of course his old man character named Flash in this one is always great fun to watch.

It was very clever and filled with visual comedy. I loved it. I'm now going to see if I can find more of his Dorf videos. Eric Bruno Borgman

Dorf: [Dorf is trying to teach the kid how to swing a baseball bat] You got to turn your wrist over!

      The Kid: My what?

Dorf: Your wrist, your wrist! Here, give me that thing, let me show you how to do this.

      [takes bat]

Dorf: Now, this is the batter's box, you got that? Here's where the money is, right? You can catch the ball, you can throw the ball, you can run all day. You don't get a hit, you're gonna have zippety-doo on that scoreboard at the end of the day, you got that?

      The Kid: Yes.

      Dorf: Yes, what?

The Kid: [a bit louder] Yes, sir.

      Dorf: I can't hear you!

      The Kid: [shouts] Yes, sir!

Dorf: All right! Now, you step into that batter's box, you own this territory, you got that? You let that pitcher know that you are here to stay. Got that?

The Kid: [shouts again] Yes, sir!

Dorf: All right! There may be hope for you yet.
