It can be difficult to live in a neighborhood where the majority population is of a different race for a number of reasons, not because of race per se, but rather because of the social, cultural, and historical aspects that frequently accompany it. For instance, there may be significant differences in food, holidays, and religious customs, which could cause misunderstandings or feelings of solitude. Because of your race or background, people may stare at you, avoid conversation, or even assume certain things about you. Some people are just racial bias. Darryl and Dave rose above all of it, demonstrating what good neighbors and friendship are all about. They faced difficulties, but they were always able to overcome them. Milsap was my personal favorite character. He was humorous honest and loyal, and he helped strengthen the connection between the two families.
Its a sitcom with another sofa and a token fam..
It was a lame show. It lacked personality, dynamics and entertainment value.
It's a standard show with nothing to offer. There is nothing to laugh about.

Oh my gosh, this show is bad. I mean its like DL Hughley took one black joke, one white joke, and one suburbia joke and tells each one 10 times on each show. It just gets stupid. I can't even believe people in the audience laugh!? Each time I watch this show I TRY to laugh at the jokes but they just aren't funny! Man this show needs to be hacked up, blown up, or just cancelled before it serves as ABC's iceberg.
I think it's a great show! Really funny, I just keep laughing. I don't know why it's not very popular; I like the jokes...The only people in the show who aren't funny are the friends of the Hughleys (Dave & Sara, I think their names are. Those people are so uninteresting that I don't even know their names!). Milsap is pretty good, but Darryl is the funniest. I think it's a nice change from the usual 'American Family' sitcom (I guess because it's probably the only sitcom other than "My Wife & Kids" and "Bernie Mac" that is about an African-American family). I think it's hilarious, and enjoy seeing the reruns (I never even heard of the show while it was actually running).
This show is soo funny. D.L. Hughley is great, and so is the rest of the cast. I think this show has just what it takes to be a very popular show, and I think it will become a very popular show in the near future.
