Heart’s Nancy Wilson said the usage of their song “Barracuda” during Donald Trump’s parade celebrating the US Army’s 250th birthday on Saturday was done “without permission or authorization” from the hard rock duo. The parade coincided with Trump’s 79th birthday.
“Earlier today, during a parade held in support of our nation’s military and organized by President Donald Trump, the song ‘Barracuda’ by Heart was played without permission or authorization from us,” Wilson wrote in a post to Instagram late Saturday. The post was accompanied by a photo of Wilson donning a “No Kings But Us” hat, referencing that same weekend’s nationwide anti-Trump marches.

Billy Bush will conclude his five-season run as host of the entertainment news show “Extra,” he announced in the latest episode of his “Hot Mics with Billy Bush” podcast.
“After an amazing 5 years hosting ‘Extra,’ I’m moving on to continue building out my ‘Hot Mics’ digital platform,” said Bush. “We have experienced unprecedented growth in a short period of time here on this show and I find myself hungrier and more stimulated than at any point in my professional career.”
“‘Extra’ is culturally iconic. If I had a dollar for every time someone hollered ‘Extra, Extra’ to me in the airport or something, I’d buy Warner Bros.,” he also noted.
“It’s been a tremendous honor and privilege to front this show. We were there for each other at this pivotal time in 2019, I’m proud of it. It’s now time to build something of my own,...

Tori Spelling has dropped a surprising revelation on her “misSPELLING” podcast, confessing that she now wishes a sex tape she made with her ex-husband, Dean McDermott, had actually been leaked to the public.
The actress recounted a past Valentine’s Day when she and McDermott created a private home video of their intimate moments. Spelling then revisited the dramatic saga of how that tape fell into the wrong hands and was being aggressively shopped around, ultimately leading to her legal team stepping in to prevent its release.
Tori Spelling’s Bombshell Confession: “I Wish My Sex Tape with Dean McDermott Had Leaked!”
However, in a significant shift from her previous stance, Spelling now openly laments that the tape never saw the light of day. This is a notable change of heart for the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum. Back in 2013, after detailing the sex tape incident in one of her books,...

When "Star Trek" celebrated its 57th anniversary in 2024, several pundits and enthused Paramount executives lauded the franchise's longevity. After all, "Star Trek" began in 1966, and it returned for 11 spinoffs over the next few decades, which totaled episodes somewhere in the 900s. Some fans even began to muse if "Star Trek" had the most episodes of any TV show in history.
Of course, a collective scoff arose from the gameshow fans of the world. "Star Trek's" paltry 900-some episodes isn't anywhere close to the record, as some TV shows have been running on a daily basis for decades. Trekkies conveniently forgot that the current version of "Jeopardy!" is in its 40th season, and has already outstripped "Star Trek" tenfold with 9,000 episodes. The 1972 version of "The Price is Right" has racked up about 9,600 episodes, providing several generations with something to watch when they're home sick from school. Meanwhile, a news show...

Sherri Shepherd had some words for Halle Berry after the Oscar-winning actress laid a “payback” kiss on Adrien Brody in front his partner Georgina Chapman on the Oscars red carpet Sunday.
“If Adrien Brody was my man, they’d be like, ‘Is that a tattoo of Sherri’s hand on your face?’ That’d been Will Smith Part 2 at the Oscars,” Shepherd said during her daytime talk show “Sherri,” openly criticizing Berry for what she clearly thought was a disrespectful overstep. “I don’t play, I don’t play like that. This week on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart cautioned Democrats from sounding the fascism alarm at every possible opportunity when it comes to president Donald Trump’s executive actions in his first 100 days.
Kicking off the segment with news of the tech market’s downturn amid Chinese artificial intelligence competitor DeepSeek, Stewart remarked: “I do know that this is bad news financially, but is anyone else somewhat excited that A.I. had its job replaced by A.I.?”
Moving on to the meat of the night’s subject — Trump’s flurry of orders — the host commented on Friday night’s firing of 17 inspectors general, which members of the news media had dubbed a “purge.” Playing on the descriptor and 2013’s crime-horror thriller of the same name, Stewart wielded a prop axe in mock-terror as he began jamming it repeatedly on his desk.
“That only leaves … no one knows how many left.

A federal appeals court has affirmed a jury’s $5 million sexual abuse and defamation verdict against Donald Trump, rejecting the president-elect’s effort for a new trial in the case brought by writer E. Jean Carroll.
“On review of abuse of discretion, we conclude that Mr. Trump has not demonstrated that the district court erred in any of the challenged rulings,” the three appellate judges wrote. “Further, he has not carried his burden to show that any claimed error or combination claimed errors affected his substantial rights as required to warrant a new trial.”
A jury in 2023 found that Trump sexually abused Carroll in an incident at the Bergdorf-Goodman department store in 1996. The jury also found that Trump defamed her in statements he made in 2022, and awarded Carroll $5 million in damages.

The following contains spoilers for "Yellowstone" season 5, episode 13, "Give the World Away."
Taylor Sheridan's "Yellowstone" has ruffled plenty of fan feathers as of late. John Dutton's (Kevin Costner) season 5 death has been controversial for viewers, and several narrative choices have also caused us to question if "Yellowstone" has lost its way. Still, Sheridan himself probably doesn't mind too much. As the creator of the most popular neo-Western around, the man is living the dream -- and even gets to appear onscreen when he feels like it, thanks to his role as capable horse trainer Travis Wheatley. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the boisterous character is a bit of a winner in the "Yellowstone" universe, and now, the show has added a new layer to the "Travis Wheatley is a high roller" cake with the season 5 episode "Give the World Away."

“Do I really have to write jokes for this?” Bill Maher said amid chuckles.

Donald Trump dressed up as a garbage man and had himself chauffeured around an airport tarmac in a self-branded garbage truck for his latest photo op this week, and his supporters ate it up — particularly Fox News host Sean Hannity. And that gave Seth Meyers a pretty good giggle.
The NBC host devoted his “A Closer Look” segment Thursday night to ripping apart Trump’s constant pandering, using the garbage stunt as the perfect example.
But Meyers also noticed a similarity between the video of Trump nearly wiping out trying to open the door of the truck, and the infamous Access Hollywood tape from 2005. In that video, Trump briefly found himself trapped on the network’s bus, because he couldn’t quite figure out how to open the door.
That said, as Meyers pointed out, Trump’s supporters fawned over the garbage truck footage.

There’s always a flurry of activity when a celebrity arrives at a premiere — camera bulbs flashing, fans screaming their name. But when Simone Biles stepped onto the blue carpet on Wednesday night to debut the second part of her revealing Netflix documentary “Simone Biles Rising,” those screams were a few octaves higher-pitched.
That’s because the courtyard of the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood was packed full of young girls who dream of someday being like Biles — the greatest gymnast of all time. Taylor Swift’s anthem “Look What You Made Me Do” blared through the speakers (a subtle nod to the floor routine that won Biles her second all-around gold medal) as she made her way to sign autographs and take selfies with the youngsters.

In a clip released on Tuesday, “Days of our Lives” stars Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) and Christopher Sean (Paul Narita) sat down with “Access Hollywood” to share their fondest memories of their TV dad, the late Drake Hogestyn, who passed away on Saturday, September 28, one day shy of his 71st birthday, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
“There was a particular sequence of scenes where in which I actually looked him in the eye and said, ‘How you doing man?’ And he did that little grunt that he does and said, ‘Kid, I’m on a journey, got to do my thing,’” Martsolf recalled of the last scene he shot with Hogestyn, which aired Monday, September 9, and marked Hogestyn’s final appearance on “Days of our Lives.”

I had just sent a voice note to my friend when a curious feeling came over me. "Let me listen back to it," I thought to myself. As I did, an even stranger feeling came over me, a lack of recognition of my own voice. You see, I've been code-switching so long that sometimes I'm unsure where the real me begins. Obviously, this was my friend, so I was being genuine in my language. However, as someone who has been a professional for many years, as well as an academic, the voice that I heard on playback was just one of many. And for a lot of modern-day Latines, this is another aspect of the identity politics we have to reconcile with. That's why it's refreshing to see that recently many Latine celebs have been more candid about the pressure they've felt to code-switch or "talk white" and are openly...

For the first time in history, a former president and current presidential candidate has been convicted of a felony. But will he still win the election?

Rep. Elise Stefanik does not like being reminded that she once called Donald Trump a “whack job” and “insulting to women.” During a Fox News interview, the New York Republican got heated when host Shannon Bream read excerpts from a New York Times article that included quotes showing Stefanik was initially critical of Trump’s candidacy in 2016.
The Times article quoted Stefanik telling a radio station in 2016 that Trump was “insulting to women” in the Access Hollywood tape where he bragged that he liked to “grab” women “by the pussy.

Update: Michael Cohen appeared to win a battle this afternoon over how reliable his memory is of eight-year-old phone calls with Donald Trump, after faltering in an earlier round of cross-examination questioning today in the former president’s hush money trial in New York.
Before a lunch break, Trump lawyer Todd Blanche got Cohen to admit that his memory of a key call with Trump in late October 2016 — to discuss paying off porn star Stormy Daniels — was largely a product of reviewing phone logs provided by prosecutors.
Blanche showed Cohen texts from the same exact time frame that suggested another matter — a 14-year-old prank caller — was the reason Cohen rang Trump’s bodyguard.
Cohen said he still believed that the bodyguard, Keith Schiller, handed the phone to Trump so he could report to the presidential candidate that a deal with Daniels was close. Cohen was getting ready to pay her...

Crikey! “Neighbours,” the famed Australian soap opera that helped launch the careers of superstars like Kylie Minogue, Margot Robbie, Russell Crowe, Chris Hemsworth, Guy Pearce, Liam Hemsworth and Natalie Imbruglia, is getting its first-ever Emmy love.
The show, which has received several nominations and wins via Australian and U.K. TV awards shows, is now a contender on this continent. As an Amazon Freevee show, “Neighbours” has been nominated for the 2024 Daytime Emmys alongside CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” as well as Peacock’s “Days of Our Lives,” ABC’s “General Hospital” and Popstar! TV’s “The Bay.”
Basically, pretty much everything eligible. But how did “Neighbours” make it to eligibility for the first time on these shores? When Amazon Freevee revived “Neighbours” in 2023 (after the show had been canceled the previous year), Amazon MGM Studios became the primary financier and distributor of the series,...
