Heart’s Nancy Wilson said the usage of their song “Barracuda” during Donald Trump’s parade celebrating the US Army’s 250th birthday on Saturday was done “without permission or authorization” from the hard rock duo. The parade coincided with Trump’s 79th birthday.

“Earlier today, during a parade held in support of our nation’s military and organized by President Donald Trump, the song ‘Barracuda’ by Heart was played without permission or authorization from us,” Wilson wrote in a post to Instagram late Saturday. The post was accompanied by a photo of Wilson donning a “No Kings But Us” hat, referencing that same weekend’s nationwide anti-Trump marches.

People who think they know Billy Bush may be surprised this week when he unveils a new video podcast.

“What this show will deliver is the real me — real unadulterated, unfiltered opinion, no fear, a great sense of humor,” says Bush during an interview. “I can’t wait, and I don’t give a s—t. I’m the head of H.R.”

Bush is known for his many years of hosting entertainment-news programs such as NBCUniversal’s “Access Hollywood” and, most recently, Warner Bros. Discovery’s “Extra.” But he sees an opportunity to put on an unbridled show that will have him talking sports and politics, interviewing celebrities in no-holds-barred fashion and giving fans behind-the-scenes stories collected after more than two decades of covering Hollywood.

The new program, “Hot Mics with Billy Bush,” will stream twice a week, starting Monday, January 13. The program will airs live Mondays and Wednesdays at 5 p.

Laverne Cox announced she has stepped down as the host of E!’s “Live From the Red Carpet” ahead of the 2025 Golden Globes.

“With an incredible amount of gratitude I’ve decided not to return as host of #LiveFromE’s red carpet coverage. President-elect Donald Trump lost an appeal today of the $5 million verdict that E. Jean Carroll won. A jury found last year that he was liable for sexually abusing Carroll and defaming her when the allegations became public.

Carroll, a former magazine columnist, alleged that Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman department store dressing room in 1996. The trial also involved a 2022 Truth Social post where Trump called the allegations a hoax.

A federal appeals court has affirmed a jury’s $5 million sexual abuse and defamation verdict against Donald Trump, rejecting the president-elect’s effort for a new trial in the case brought by writer E. Jean Carroll.

“On review of abuse of discretion, we conclude that Mr. Trump has not demonstrated that the district court erred in any of the challenged rulings,” the three appellate judges wrote. “Further, he has not carried his burden to show that any claimed error or combination claimed errors affected his substantial rights as required to warrant a new trial.”

A jury in 2023 found that Trump sexually abused Carroll in an incident at the Bergdorf-Goodman department store in 1996. The jury also found that Trump defamed her in statements he made in 2022, and awarded Carroll $5 million in damages.

Donald Trump dressed up as a garbage man and had himself chauffeured around an airport tarmac in a self-branded garbage truck for his latest photo op this week, and his supporters ate it up — particularly Fox News host Sean Hannity. And that gave Seth Meyers a pretty good giggle.

The NBC host devoted his “A Closer Look” segment Thursday night to ripping apart Trump’s constant pandering, using the garbage stunt as the perfect example.

Kandi Burruss has joined the second season of Hulu’s legal drama “Reasonable Doubt,” starring alongside series regulars Emayatzy Corinealdi, Morris Chestnut, McKinley Freeman, Tim Jo, Angela Grovey, Aderinsola Olabode and Thaddeus J. Mixson.

Burruss will take on the role of Eboni Phillips, a party girl in her youth who has since cleaned herself up.

Access Hollywood and its counterpart, Access Daily with Mario & Kit, are not going anywhere anytime soon. Both syndicated entertainment shows have been renewed for two more seasons, taking them through 2026.

Access Hollywood was last renewed for multiple seasons in 2021. Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, and Scott Evans host the series and are joined by correspondent Zuri Hall. This is the entertainment news show's 28th season.

NBCUniversal has renewed Access Hollywood and its companion daily talk show Access Daily with Mario & Kit through 2026 in syndication.

The studio has sold the entertainment news show to NBCUniversal Local’s NBC Owned Television Stations, along with leading station groups across the country, for two additional seasons, said Tracie Wilson, Executive Vice President, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios & E! News.

“We’re thrilled to continue our successful partnership with the NBC-owned stations, bringing the ‘Access’ brand to local stations for additional seasons,” Wilson said. “Our talented hosts have incredible chemistry and our seasoned production team work tirelessly to bring viewers quality content each day on Access Hollywood and Access Daily.”

For the 2023-24 season, its 28th in broadcast syndication, Access Hollywood is averaging about 1.1 million viewers daily.

NBCUniversal is adding to the run of Access Hollywood.

The syndicated entertainment-news show and its companion, Access Daily With Mario & Kit, have been renewed through 2026 by NBC-owned stations and other local station groups. The renewal tacks on two additional seasons to the shows’ current pact.

“General Hospital” led night one of the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards, winning four prizes — including the outstanding daytime drama Emmy. “General Hospital” won the top daytime drama award for the fourth year in a row.

“Gh” took an early lead as proceedings got underway, including writing, directing and supporting actor performance in a daytime drama series (Robert Gossett as Marshall Ashford). While accepting the honor for daytime drama directing, the show’s team paid tribute to Johnny Wactor, the former “Gh” performer who was recently killed.

Besides Gossett from “Gh,” daytime acting awards were spread out among several shows, with CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” winning two — for lead actress (Michelle Stafford as Phyllis Summers) and supporting actress (Courtney Hope as Sally Spectra). CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” won the drama actor for Thorsten Kaye as Ridge Forrester, who also won last year.

On Tuesday, CBS and The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) formally announced the list of presenters set for “The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, airing Friday, June 7, from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Et/Pt on CBS and streaming Live and On Demand on Paramount+.

Talk show host Kelly Clarkson (“The Kelly Clarkson Show”) will appear at the awards show for the first time ever as a presenter. Elise Stefanik does not like being reminded that she once called Donald Trump a “whack job” and “insulting to women.” During a Fox News interview, the New York Republican got heated when host Shannon Bream read excerpts from a New York Times article that included quotes showing Stefanik was initially critical of Trump’s candidacy in 2016.

Update: Michael Cohen appeared to win a battle this afternoon over how reliable his memory is of eight-year-old phone calls with Donald Trump, after faltering in an earlier round of cross-examination questioning today in the former president’s hush money trial in New York.

After the first round of nods were announced, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences revealed the remaining nominations on Friday morning (April 19)

The upcoming awards celebrate and recognize “outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts since 1974, honoring work in a variety of categories, including daytime dramas, talk shows, instructional programming, hosting, culinary and legal/courtroom programs.”

The Kelly Clarkson Show leads the daytime talk show categories with nine noms while The Young and the Restless‘ Eric Braeden earned his first nomination in over 20 years!
