Martians have nothing to do with it

A sci-fi drama of the highest quality.

After this one watched the American "Event Horizon" and was disappointed immensely. Dealing with a similar subject the USA film industry completely ruined the whole matter. They tried to deal the delicate subject with a sledgehammer. And failed of course, a big budget wasted.

You can clearly see that the Russians were making this film using a laughable budget but created a masterpiece. Every single scene is in its place and serves the purpose of the drama. It creeps slowly under your skin and provokes thinking. What do we hide deep in ourselves? How far can we go in our dreams? What price can we pay for our wishes? Who stands behind this crazy carnival? "Martians" is a stupid idea. The movie is about Man's soul. And Man on his own is weak. As simple and as difficult as that.

A 10 out of 10, definitely. Thank you for attention.
