I really enjoyed this TV. series the cast, location script were all great.based on the book by BB the show does the book credit.A friend got a copy of video so it was great to see again.I was advised by itv that TV-time-warp.co.auk have the series on their website.I believe the location for filming was around the new forest.I have been a big fan of BB and was first made aware of him on seeing The little grey men.a TV series made by Anglia TV.I have read his other books. It would be great if the show could be shown again so that new generation of viewers could enjoy it.On a sad note Harold played by Paul Erangey died in 2004 his memory will live on in the form of this great British show.It would be great if other cast members would also recall any memories and stories on the production.I believe Liza Goddard met her husband to be David Cobham while the show was being filmed.BB,s100th celebrations took place in 2005.he leaves a beautiful book and a great series for generations to come.in memory of BB 1905-2005

I loved this series when I was a kid.
The scenery, the obvious love of nature and the adventures, made this a series that stuck with me.
The fact that it was all in a "normal" forest, definitely added to the appeal.

I remember watching this when I was about 14 in NZ, and not wanting it to come to a conclusion. I have thought about the series many times in the subsequent 23 years and managed to dig up the title from the description written on memorabletv.com (an excellent resource). So once I had that, I felt I needed to acknowledge here the obviously great impact the show had on me. The relationships presented are wonderful and the imagination is captured by the concept of the brothers living in a tree in the middle of (what must have been even in the period set) a rare British wood. I only wish now I could obtain a copy to be able to refresh my memories. If you get the opportunity - don't miss it.

I was in the show, had an amazing time... If you get to see it, it is really wonderful, the wildlife shots alone are superb. Great Story... Great Cast... Great Director... and you get to see me as a cute 'lil boy' :)
This has been aired on Swedish television twice, 1981 and later in 1984 as one of the shows on "Sommarmorgon" (Summer morning), a program for kids during the summer.
It's about a bunch of kids who run away into the forest and live inside a hollow tree. Adventures and excitement await. I'm afraid I can't remember much more but it was a long time ago. I still remember how good it made me feel though and how I built a small hut in the forest that summer.
Me and my wife still talks about it and now when we are adults and soon having our first child we want a DVD release so our child will be able to get see this wonderful series.
