Arlo Parks has announced that a deluxe edition of her sophomore album, My Soft Machine, will be released on December 8th via Transgressive Records. As a preview, the CoSign alum has shared her cover of Jai Paul’s “Jasmine,” which will be featured on the upcoming record, along with a visualizer directed by Joel Barney.

“Jasmine” is one of six new recordings on My Soft Machine (Deluxe). The release will also feature a new rendition of “I’m Sorry” featuring Lous and The Yakuza, a new version of “Blades” featuring redveil, a cover of Tirzah’s “Holding On,” and acoustic versions of “Devotion” and “Pegasus.”

That’s happening now with the announcement that the company has signed on as executive producers of the Israeli documentary “Death in the Terminal,” which will be released in the U.S. by First Look Media, and Boal said in an interview that his company would be scouting documentary festivals for more new work. “There’s a ton of stuff out there, and a lot of it is really good,” he said.

As we count down the days until the release of Disclosure‘s highly anticipated follow-up to their debut album, more and more information about the effort finds its way to us. After wowing us with their brand-new Sam Smith collaboration, “Omen,” the Surrey, England brothers have delivered an official track list for Caracal.

Packed with the names of such high-profile featured artists as Lorde and The Weekend, in addition to a few up-and-comers, the Caracal tracklist shows that recent releases like “Omen,” “Holding On” and “Bang That” were but a narrow cross section of what we could look forward to on the album.

Given what the duo has been able to accomplish in the music world at such young ages, we look forward to hearing what their upcoming effort adds to their budding discography.

Yesterday was the artwork. Today, the video clip. While “Latch” continues to thrive as one of the best songs of our era, Disclosure is aiming to once again capture the magic of Sam Smith’s vocal talent in their newest collaboration, “Omen.” From the teaser, we get a taste of the track’s slinking beat, interspersed with hopeful synth swells to create a truly unique soundscape.

In addition to the audio, the Instagram clip looks as just as interesting as it sounds. It’s within all realms of possibility that “Omen’s” official video will be included alongside “Holding On” in the four track short film for Caracal, which strongly hints that it will release in advance of the album… Watch the teaser below and let us know what you think of the new Disclosure. To promote their forthcoming album Caracal, Disclosure has approved the creation of a (very) chameleonic sci-fi project: The beginning (shown in this Ryan Hope–helmed video here for "Holding On," featuring Gregory Porter) looks like Orphan Black met Insidious at a club and then had a baby. As the song progresses, that feel morphs into something kind of X-Men-y and then something else maybe a little RoboCop-y. "We wanted to create something very different with our music videos this time around, something unique that would connect all the songs from the album and the videos in a special way," the duo wrote on Twitter. London-based Headline Pictures, the outfit behind Quartet and The Invisible Woman, has revealed further details of its slate of high end TV dramas.

One of the company’s long gestating projects, Philip K Dick adaptation The Man In The High Castle, is now shooting in Seattle.

Headline has partnered with Amazon Studios, which is wholly funding the project, and is being filmed in the first instance as a pilot.

This will be broadcast in December and a decision will be taken as to whether a 10-part series will follow.

The drama, set in an alternate future in which Germany and Japan won the Second World War, is scripted by Frank Spotnitz and is being directed by David Semel.

The first trailer for Russell Crowe’s directorial debut, The Water Diviner, has landed online. Set in the aftermath of WWII, the film has already garnered positive early reviews and looks quite promising.

Starring Crowe in the lead role as an Australian farmer, the story follows his journey to Turkey four years after the war. His mission is to track down the bodies of his three sons who were killed there during the Battle of Gallipoli.

The actor has enlisted a slew of rising talent to supporting his character’s journey into the emotional abyss. Olga Kurylenko, Yilmaz Erdogan, Cem Yilmaz, Jai Courtney, Steve Bastoni, Isabel Lucas, Ryan Corr, Dan Wyllie, Damon Herriman, Jacqueline McKenzie, Michael Dorman, Megan Gale, and Dylan Georgiades all appear in what’s so far been a relatively low-key flick.

U2 have said that their divisive new album -- given out free to iTunes subscribers last week -- was their most intimate yet, and the cover of the upcoming physical release underlines that claim. It may be a little too intimate. The simple cover features Glen Luchford's stark black and white photo of drummer Larry Mullen Jr. in a half-naked embrace with his 18-year-old son. The band's site states that it's meant to recall the iconic covers of U2's early albums "Boy" (1979) and "War" (1983). Their other famous cover images include the panoramic band portrait which adorns "The Joshua Tree" and the busy collage found on the front of "Achtung Baby." How does the new cover measure up? Take a look here: "We’ve always been about community in U2, about family and friends," frontman Bono explained on their site. "'Songs of Innocence' is the most intimate album we’ve ever made.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" was expected to challenge the record for the biggest opening ever in August. No one thought it would completely blow it away.   Earning a superb A Cinemascore from moviegoers and arguably some of the best reviews ever for a Marvel Studios film, "Galaxy" took in $94 million over its first three days. That completely obliterates the previous August champ, "The Bourne Ultimatum," which found $69.2 million in 2007. Marvel has already green lit a sequel for 2017 and you can expect star Chris Pratt to continue his ascension into one of Hollywood's biggest new movie stars.  The 35-year-old will appear in "Jurassic World" next summer and, in a very convenient coincidence, say goodbye to "Park and Recreation" as the NBC comedy series ends with season seven. The United States national soccer team beat Ghana in their first game in the group round of the 2014 World Cup Monday night.

U.S. came out onto the field in Brazil Monday determined not to let Ghana, who has knocked them out of the last two World Cups, get another win off of them. With less than a minute into the game, star forward Clint Dempsey dribbled through the left side of the penalty box and slid the ball inside the far post of the net for his squad’s first goal of the tournament.

With the one goal lead, the U.S. was able to settle into a possession game as Ghana fought to regain momentum. Eventually, the Ghanaians had their first legitimate chance to score, but were denied by American keeper Tim Howard, who sprinted off his line to make the save.

There was a break from the NBA Finals and the NHL Stanley Cup Final on Friday but there was still action on the seas on TV last night, in more ways than one. The only network with a full schedule of originals, NBC started its Friday primetime with Brian Williams Reporting: Journey To Normandy (0.9/4). Including an interview with President Obama, the anchor’s heartfelt hour-long tribute to the heroes of D-Day on the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the liberation of Europe from the Nazis drew an audience of 5.8 million. The special was followed by a 1-hour and 1-minute Dateline (1.3/5), which was even with last week’s 8 – 10 Pm episode. The second week of Crossbones (0.9/3) saw a 9% slip for the pirate drama from last week’s debut. Miranda Lambert has what Mary Tyler Moore’s boss, Lou Grant, would call “spunk.” She’s feisty, she doesn’t mince words, and she gives as good, if not better, than she gets. On album after album, she shows that beneath that toasty exterior is a heart that is very capable of being broken. The overloaded "Platinum"— there are 16 tracks on the standard edition— is stylistically Lambert’s most diverse (and that's saying a lot given some of the adventurous turns she took on 2011's "Four The Record") : She veers into western swing on the chugging, plucky cover of Tom T. An extended, behind-the-scenes featurette for The Water Diviner has provided a first look at Russell Crowe's upcoming directorial debut. The story centers on an Australian man (Crowe) who travels to Turkey to attempt to locate the bodies of his three sons, who were killed there during Wwi. The featurette is narrated by Crowe, and his passion for the material really comes through. Even though this is only his first feature, it looks like he's come up with something that has a grand scope but retains its focus on the intimate character drama. This is definitely one I'm going to be keeping on my radar, and although it doesn't currently have a release date, I hope we'll get to see it soon.
