Arthur Pussey is the respectable scion of a wealthy manufacturing family. He's just lost everything at the gaming tables -- it doesn't mean he's without resources, it just means he'll have to go home and work. But he falls in love with fascinating cat burglar Ica von Lenkeffy and she with him. So she and her pals work out a racket to help him win at the tables.
It's a lighthearted movie that in the United States would be ranked a pre-code film, as Miss von Lenkeffy enjoys parading around in a cat suit in her last movie. She and her confederates take a lot of pride in their abilities, and Pussey's bouts of bourgeois conscience puzzle them. Director Adelqui Migliar directs this very stylish Albatross production with a nicely cynical air.
