    relive Macross one more time

A touching tribute to both the Macross story and its fans. Watch some of the more memorable clips from both the famed Macross series and DYRL set to the music of Lynn Minmay. The live-action shots are kind of cheesy, and one particular metaphor made between the Japanese troops and the Macross soldiers seemed out of place, but otherwise, all Macross fans should see Flashback.

The icing on the cake is the original animation, portraying Minmay's final concert on Earth before embarking with Megaroad-01, and set to the the song "Angel's Paint."

The Last part of Macross , the original Japanese ending

I didnt think this tribute was cheesy at all unlike what other critics. And in reality there not live shot, their cgi and anime drawn special effects that look absolute drawing!!!

In fact watching "Macross Flashback" here in 2003, I can say it still stands out head and shoulders above many cheesy American cartoons today!!! Amazing considering this came out in 1987 and has stood the tests of time, but nothing suprises me about that since Japanese Anime lies virtually unmatched as far as quality goes.

Now there arent as many clips from the original Macross series, instead clips from the DYRL movie plus over 5 minutes of new animation including a shot of Minmei and Rick's Girlriend side by side, patching their friendship after the conflic between them.

There is also a new shot of the SDF1, that looks great.

And the whole video itself knocks in the gut with sentiment and virtue as when Lynn Minmei starts tapping on the piano and then recalls her Glory years aboard the SDF1. Very touching!!!

    Highly Recommend

    A Perfect 10 out 10

Then should go into any Robotech/Macross fans collection!!
