A textbook in screeenplay writing

With a plotline thinner than a toothpick, K Bhagyaraj weaves a wonderful tale of rustic love. The highlight of the film is the screenplay, well supported by Ilayaraja's unforgettable songs. M N Nambiar excels in a supporting role. Basically a film that's a lesson in screenplay writing.

This movie was released all over the world as Thooral Ninnu Pochu but in Kerala it was released as Saaral Ninnu Pochu because the original title in Tamil means 'the drizzling has stopped' in Kerala's native language Malayalam it means 'bowel movements have stopped'.
