Sweet romantic comedy about the rise of an inept mobster and his unlikely sweetheart.

All the way from its comical beginning to its surprising end, the gentle, often hilarious, always victimless humor of Mike Horelick compels the audience to accept an offer of laughter it can't refuse. Jon Conboy's direction is marked by subtlety and expert timing to make this delightful film a real pleasure for anyone who loves true wit and a fresh approach to an old genre.

A very entertaining spoof of gangsters-

I think the movie was a very entertaining spoof of gangsters - sort of in the vein of "Bound" - definitely a good laugh - by a talented first time director. The music was particularly humorous and played along with the movie and I loved the lead performance by "Candy Cane".

Funny slice of life sex comedy

"Mob Queen" offers viewers a humorous slice of life of late 50s Brooklyn (specifically the Red Hook neighborhood) and buffoonish mobsters taken in by a beautiful drag queen played by Candis Cayne. For once, the drag queen gets the guy and isn't killed--no "Crying Game" melodrama, here. Buy it or rent it, you'll like it.

George Gianfranco: Dip, the goal is to work our way up in the organization, not down. Mr. Aorta will never promote us if all we do is collect milk money.

      Dip McKenzie: I guess.

      George Gianfranco: What's after that?

Dip McKenzie: Pick up Mr. Aorta's underwear at the cleaners.
