Vive Elle

This movie really reminds me of old French '60's and '70's cinema. Shot entirely in Paris, it captures that feel so well.

Although the film is quite experimental and at times distant for the viewer I did get intrigued by Agathe's character. It's very funny that that the entire story is about men, but you never get to see one!

The music use in it is really great, from punk to hip hop to a cover of Serge Gainsbourg. It's actually one of the first films that uses such a wide range of music that really works well together. I saw that the director, wrote, shot and edited this film all herself.

That is quite an achievement .

This movie appeals to me because, it's so arty, French and quirky.

You feel like you're watching an updated crazier version of a Godard movie. I like that it's unconventional and breaks the rules of traditional film making. There are quite a bit of music video moments due to the choice of editing and music, which are great.

The choice of music is original and fun and adds a lot of humor despite the heavy subject of the film.
