The Lumber Camp

The three monkeys work in a lumber camp -- in case you couldn't guess that from the title -- and have to contend with things like trying to chop down a rubber tree, squirrels who want their nuts opened, and pancake-stealing bears.

Walter Lantz's efforts to jumpstart a new franchise for his cartoon studio continued to sputter with this one. It's very funny, with fine artwork and well-rendered gags (even if Bernice Hansen offers some voice work), but it just didn't take. I suspect it was the difficulty of remembering which monkey was which.
