    Newlyweds And Their Cook

Lucille Williams and Franklin Pangborn are newlyweds, and Daphne Pollard is their cook with three boyfriends. Both women are nicknamed Blondie. After the usual wrangling between the women, Pollard is fired, and Pangborn gets to make breakfast for the wife. Hence the title.

The pacing is off a bit; with the transition to sound, the easy, high-speed transitions that made the most absurd situation flow was no longer possible. Still, there are some nice bits in here, with a funny ending.

Enjoyable but the end...well that's pretty weird!

"Breakfast in Bed" is a decent little comedy from Pathé. While I don't think it's hilarious, it's enjoyable...and has an incredibly odd ending!

Much of the story has to do with the maid (Daphne Pollard) and problems with her three boyfriends. Eventually, their antics are so bad that the lady of the house rightfully fires the maid. However, as the wife seems to be incredibly lazy, this means her very hard working husband (Franklin Pangborn) must make breakfast before he goes away on a business trip...and the results are god-awful!

This is a decent slice of life comedy. Fortunately, it ends well and on a very zany note...which helps make the think a bit memorable. Not hilarious but cute and enjoyable.
