    Crap Movie

Poor acting and lousy portrayal of Mexicans. Hat Dance music when bandits are riding their horses. Only good thing is the eye candy. Real D movie.

GREAT WESTERN WITH 3 FORMER "HERCULES" STARS

This movie has 3 former HERCULES stars in it. Gordon Mitchell, Kirk Morris and Alan Steel all in the same movie. Kirk Morris is the lead who carries the story, about bloody revenge for the killing of his parents. Gordon Mitchell is a gambler who cheats at cards and gets killed by Morris. (There were 5 aces in the deck). Alan Steel is effective as the Mexican bandit leader who bungles every bank heist job. There are lots of female leads to enjoy. There is a rather explicit whipping of a woman, at least for 1968 standards. KM gets shot and falls into a lake but somehow manages to swim to the surface in an "artsy" looking bizarre sequence. When he gets to the road, director Amerigo Anton shows KM in pain and silently crying out as the sun at his back highlights his anguish. (It is almost like he DID DROWN and came back to life). (This scene is quit striking). He then convinces the Sheriff (almost begs him), to hire him as a deputy and then starts killing everyone who gets in his way. I always though KM looked like a "young" Elvis Presley. After the shooting stops, KM rides off leaving the bag of money he tried so hard to protect throughout the movie.

It is like another one of those movies whenever everyone has their own input what each of them want in the movie without any of it making any sense

(1968) I'll Die for Vengeance/ Sapevano solo uccidere.

    DUBBED SPAGHETTI WESTERN

Co-written and directed by Amerigo Anton that has a group of Mexican bandits lead by Pedro (Sergio Ciani) attempting to rob a town bank but he was already too late igniting a gun fire. He would then stop by at the post office to interrogate the Morse ticker to interrogate him to tell them where the gold was taken. And they string him up on the hot ground with two people Jeff Smart (Kirk Morris) and Hernando Lopez (Ivan Scratuglia) stumbling onto him along the way and freeing him.. And when he tries to speak, Pedro then shoots him dead while he is having a shoot down with them, killing Hernando in the process. They kill two Mexican bandits with the leader escaping. Jeff then brings his body using his horse to his family, only as soon as after he leaves, Pedro's gang for some odd reason find out Jeff had passed by the small Mexican town and they whip the information out of her for his whereabouts. Pedro then injures Jeff severely, purposely dropping into the lake. Only for him to swim out and collapsing onto the middle of the road. He is then gets taken in by (Luciano Bonanni) riding with a Brunco (Aldo Cecconi). It is there is where he is nursed back to health and he falls in love with the father's daughter, Julie (Dada Gallotti). Somewhere down the line, another character enters into the mix, Clayton Foster (Gordon Mitchell) and he comes behind some people, he too is also looking for the gold. And when Jeff becomes well enough to leave on his own, the two would eventual cross paths as soon as they stay on the same town. With Jeff eventually made sheriff still questioning the only pictures of the parents he never knew. And throughout the entire time, viewers are wondering the identity of Saguaro, and what his role is here.

It is obvious if anyone were to watch this, that it was not just the director who wanted his input in this, but maybe perhaps one of the producers, maybe the editor or another un credited director or the star- who knows! Many of the events does not seem to add up for on one hand Jeff is seeking retribution for his friend Hernando then he isn't!

    Distinctly average

A cheap and cheerless spaghetti western starring no less than three former peplum strongmen. Kirk Morris gives a slightly wooden turn as the hero, left for dead by an outlaw gang and later deputising to take them down. Lots of action in this one but it's not particularly well staged and the director's aspirations towards grandeur doesn't really work very well. Gordon Mitchell is the best part as a crooked gunslinger and card cheat but Alan Steel's bad guy is below par. The whole film is distinctly average.
