        Surprisingly straight

DON'T TELL MY PARTNER is a surprisingly serious Category III exploitation movie from Hong Kong, centred around a typical office worker who is the archetype of the Hong Kong 'everyman' cinemagoer. His straight girlfriend is a photographer who spurns his amorous advances, so before long he's hooking up with a new girl in the office, played by an attractive young Japanese lady. Lots of sex scenes are the order of the day here, but things become more dramatic when his best friend also gets involved with the women in his life, leading to recriminations. It doesn't have much going for it other than repetitive sex scenes, but the characters are more realistic than in many similar productions.
