Great Story, too bad it wasn't made in 1996

Superb setting. It holds its own against Blade Runner. Great acting. The characters grow on you. Sometimes you're likely to get stuck because you don't know where to go despite the linear gameplay. If this happens consult an online walkthrough. The puzzles will take some brain power but there's nothing uneven about them. The only thing I lament is that it was made in the dying days of DOS and is limited to 320x240 and 256 colors. If it was made two years later it would have been stunning to watch.

Not the best, but up there...

This is one of the first games ever to use extensive FMV. (full motion video), not only to move the plot along, but also DURING play. The atmosphere and impact of this immersive cinematic world still sets it apart from any other game today. Add to that Burn:Cycles absolutely frustrating challenge, and you've got yourself one serious piece of entertainment! A fair warning: this title is not for the faint of heart!!!

Vielli: Imagine a piece of software that can duplicate a human mind and store it on a computer. Software that would allow a person to make a computer copy of themselves and continually transfer that copy to and from a human body forever. Then they would own the technology of immortality. Think of the miracle of it, Cutter, even you can appreciate what this means! Why should a man waste all his life trying to achieve things, and when he's finally succeeded at something, mother nature snatches him away! All because his dumb, flesh body has decided to pack up! This way the great thinkers can keep going. There work can increase. Think about it. What could Newton have taught Einstein. What could Socrates have taught Sartrov. The mind boggles at the evolutionary steps we could take.

Cutter: Yeah? And would could Genghis Khan have taught Hitler? What would the world be like with them?

Vielli: A minor point. More than likely, SoftTech will reduce it to the most desirable product ever put on the market. It will tip the balance of world power in the favor of whoever has it.
