    Enjoyable for all ages

This show is one of the better Australian Sci-Fi TV shows comparable to Spellbinder, Spelbinder2 and Ocean girl. It consist of three seasons each with their own name and plot e.g. Thunderstone (first season), Return to Thunderstone (second season) and I can't remember the name of the third season. But like most Australian shows it was short lived only three short seasons but I don't think it could have been any longer as the overall plot by the third season was running thin. The acting and characterization is rather good and each episode is well written and enjoyable the seasons are slow to start and fast to finish making the show a no brainier when it comes to following the plot. I would recommend that this show is for all ages and enjoyable for every one.

    An incredible series

It's one of my favorite, i loved to watch it when i was younger, because the story was catching and all the cast members was great. The show started out a little slow and the end was a little fast, the first season end that is. But the middle of all the seasons was really really great. Before i saw Thunderstorm i had followed Jeffrey Walker true Ocean Girl and the Wayne Manifesto, in all the roles he was great and funny, so i was happy to see him being the hero of both times, past and present.

The first season had some pretty cool twist and turns from the first episode, and the villains delivered a good threat, but the main bad guy was really a maniac, especially those lies he felt Jeffrey's character with.

The second season was that good, it had some pretty good changes, but the bad guy was nothing to write about, the ending was really good, great twist.

The third season had some really sick villains, and the new environment the heroes was in, was really exciting to follow and the last episode, had you by the edge of your seat. Everybody should see this show...

    Australian TV Show

Thunderstone is a brilliant Australian production, proving once again that the standard of TV programs in this country is much higher for childrens drama than adult programs.

The special effects are of an international standard, and actually get better in each series. The storylines are well considered, and introduce various genres to younger viewers, such as action and sci-fi.

Thunderstone is set in the near future, in Australia. The series revolves around a teenage genuis, Noah, played by Jeffery Walker, who has to manipulate time and space to save the world over and over. Each season has a different crisis for Noah and his friends to overcome. The ongoing theme throughout each season is our own destruction of our environment on Earth. Walker is an engaging young actor, and has been involved in quite a few top-quality Australian childrens shows.

Thunderstone could easily be the best of a collection of amazing Australian childrens shows including 'Ocean Girl'(also featuring Jeffery Walker), and 'Spellbinder'

"A great sci/fi show for children!"

I have recently watched the entire first season of this show on DVD and I loved it. This show stars Jeffrey Walker who during the 1990's was one of Australia's most prolific child actors. He played Bronson in the second series of Round The Twist. He also starred in Ocean Girl and The Wayne Manifesto. Jeffrey is now a TV director and has directed episodes of Neighbours, Home And Away, All Saints and H20: Just Add Water.

Thunderstone is a sci fi/adventure TV series that takes place in the year 2020 on a post- apocalyptic Earth, which has been hit by a comet (referred to as the Nemesis Comet). Jeffrey Walker plays Noah Daniels the protagonist who along with his family and other survivors live in an underground colony called North Col. No one can live on the planet's surface, because of the extreme cold and constant snowstorms. The comet's impact destroyed all animal life, so to keep the children's knowledge of biology up to date, they are taught about these extinct animals with the aid of a holodeck (like in Star Trek). The animals fascinate Noah and one night he secretly returns to the holodeck to explore the animal kingdom on his own. But he inadvertently creates a time travel device that transports him though time into a desert. At first he thinks he's in the past but he later finds out that he has been transported to the year 2085 and is in a place called Haven. He encounters and befriends a group of children (the Nomads) led by Arushka, who travel around and try to avoid capture by "the Protectors" lead by the evil Tao who wants to mine all the Thunderstone mineral to power the vehicles for his men and to use this wealth to gain power. Thunderstone is a powerful mineral that comes from the Nemesis Comet. Noah learns how to operate the time travel device and he uses it not only to travel back to his own time in 2020 but also to a time period before the comet hit Earth in 1999 and brings animals from this time period to Haven in the year 2085 so he can repopulate the world with animals. But at the same time he and "the Nomad's" have to try and avoid "the Protectors".

The world of Haven in some ways resembles the world of the Mad Max films. Because like the Mad Max films Haven is post-apocalyptic desert environment. In Haven both the children (the Nomads) and the adults (the Protectors) wear shabby clothing and "the Protectors" travel around in dilapidated road vehicles like in the Mad Max films. But unlike the Mad Max films, which are very violent, this show has very mild violence because Thunderstone is a children's show. This show ran for three seasons but for now only the first season of Thunderstone has been released on DVD. I certainly hope that the second and third seasons are released on DVD someday as I have read those seasons have more adventures for Noah and his friends.

I really like this show and I recommend it to anyone who likes sci/fi shows for a family audience.
