The Falkland Man

The way "Los Bravos" is packaged on DVD makes it look like it has to do with inner city Hispanic gangs, but it isn't. It's another take on the formula of a former soldier discovering the former members of his team being eliminated for mysterious reasons, and he himself finding he's been targeted. I don't mind seeing a familiar formula again, as long as it's done well, but "Los Bravos" isn't. It's surprisingly slow, with the hero only finding himself on the run and in danger after more than half an hour has passed. The production values are very low as well, with some scenes being lit so badly that it's hard to tell what's going on. As the lead character, Hector Echavarria is a pretty poor actor, but he clearly knows his martial arts, and some of the martial art sequences he's in aren't bad. But the slow pace and low rent feel of the entire enterprise don't make the fights worth sitting through the whole movie. Those interested in seeing the movie due to martial arts legend Bill "Superfoot" Wallace being billed will be disappointed, because he only has one short scene.

This is a great movie. The fights were excellent. Hector Echavarria is a great martial artist. Michel Qissi was great too. But the real star was ryan watson. He was the best. The story was simple and the acting was bad. But the fights were excellent. Mark: 8/10

Great plot. It was a really good movie, the best action scenes, Hector Echavarria was one of the best actors in the movie! The boy was a great actor too. It was nice seeing Bill Wallace on the screen, although he appeared too shortly. Nice job!
