Drainiac is fun, funky, flashbacky horror opus

Brett Piper's "Drainiac" harkens back to horror's modern heyday in the mid 80s, and takes that retro groove on a tongue-in-cheek roller coaster ride through a haunted house opus. Lots of fun, solid FX work from Piper as always, and good energy throughout. Suffers a bit in post-production looping, but it's a coin toss whether Georgia Hatzis' bath or Leslie Culton's skull-faced boogie is better. Very solid independent outing.

    It's Alive!!

I was about to complain all over the place about this movie not having any TnA in it, but around the 35 min mark finally we get to see some! Along with tentacles and raw meat all over the 'star'!!! Wow this movie was made in 2000? Really sweet of Amazon to recommend it now.

And oh after that bathtub scene my oh my is she a dirty girl!!!

Actually this little critter fest is sorta fun. Now why does Amazon say this was from 2021?? That's pretty silly. Shame on you Amazon!

    It's not good, it's not that bad! I guess we'll give it a 5/10.

And IMDB has now made it so a review has to have 600 characters before it can be entered. I really don't expect that to last very long because people are sure to complain about it. But until that happens I guess we have to expect reviews to be long winded and sometimes about absolutely nothing to do with the show in question.

    Hand made

So this looks like it is all made by hand, with no CGI. If you are a fan of things being really there and low budget movies - you might have a bit more love for this than others do. I have to admit, the way this was shot I did think this was maybe from the 90s or even 80s. Turns out it is not that old ... but you get everything horror movies back then offered, with the effects and the occasional nudity.

A very weird ending to all of this and almost a surprise there weren't more of this. Everything gets sequels in horror, yes? Well ok not everything but most things do. Anyway, if you have a heart for low budget movies as I already hinted at, give it a go. Otherwise you'd be wasting your time

    Hilarious b-movie fun!

Wow! This had to be one of the most fun b-movies that I've seen in a while. Terrible acting between completely dysfunctional characters, super cheesy special effects, boom mike shots, and a final showdown with what looked like re-used footage from Krull. The soundtrack did not match with the actors mouths in MANY places making it even more hilarious when they delivered the horrible lines in the script. It had it all though, from the excessive use of slow motion, a man having his genitals ripped off by a rubber tentacle, to a toy car sinking in the mud where a real car had been. This is a must rent for a bad movie night or if you are like me and enjoy movies made with my weekend beer budget. Two thumbs up for this one.

Not the worst I've seen but it tries hard to be.

Well I've been suffering from insomnia for the last couple of months but after watching this film on DVD I have found a cure. Like I said its not the worst film I've ever seen but it is extremely dull and I found my mind drifting off before I nodded off. The story involves a bunch of kids a haunted house with some gooey green stuff and thats about all I can remember of it. Maybe the film would benefit a little from some decent editing as certain scenes where nothing interesting happened seemed to go for too long but then again it is such a short film without cutting it, it would probably come in at under an hour that way. So if you have to watch every cheap horror film it might be worth a look otherwise save your time and cash.
