Funny movie, a bit inconsistent, but funny

This is a very good first feature that shows a ton of promise from writer/director Thomas J LaSorsa. Although it seems as if he' still might be finding his way with the craft of film-making, especially where it concerns screenplay, this movie is fun and reminds us that characters, sincere, committed characters, really make the experience of a film happen.

Had me hooked from the first frame

This film started off stupid and lost ground from there. Funny and not once did it tire. All Saints Day was as neatly constructed as a piece of fine furniture and just as much as a joy to behold. It is that avi raris in independent film - a laugh out loud (make that "scream out loud") movie. It doesn't try to be arty and depressing nor does it push an alternate lifestyle or an ideological agenda.

Each of the principal characters (with the exception of the mysterious "Jimmy") wind up worse off than they were at the beginning of the film. Hopefully, the creators will spare them a sequel and further misadventure.

But if the producers of All Saints Day offered the characters a sequel, would the characters take it?

Yes, because they are that stupid.

Funny film that contains an all-time classic comedy scene for the ages...

I saw All Saints Day at the IFP's 2000 Market in New York City and it was enjoyed by a roaring audience. Most memorable is a scene toward the end of the film that involves a female senior citizen with a taste for fish and an incredibly foul mouth mixing it up with the group of screw-ups that the story surrounds. One of the funniest comedy scenes I've ever seen, but certainly not the only laugh to be found.

    a must see movie...

This is an excellent movie..the storyline and the cast are superb!! Cleverly written and acted, 'All Saint's Day' is a hilarious black comedy with a great twist. We can all relate to the main character's frustration with life in general, of having a lousy boss, annoying parents, and undesirable love life. The movie shows how far a person can go when pushed to their limits. Don't expect any special effects or high-tech scenes. What makes this movie so great is its story and the characters.

I definitely recommend seeing this movie if you haven't already done so. It had be laughing so hard, especially Christopher Lynn's character as Johnny in a chicken suit. This is by far one of the best movie I've seen in a while. I give two thumbs up!!!

    A surprise treat!?

This movie was hilarious. The actors' Brooklyn accents are a treat to listen to, in and of themselves. Many Indie films seem to be trying too hard but this film was a joy to watch. I would definately recommend this film to my friends.
