Girls in Blue is a whole lot better than one would initially expect. It gives its subtle opinion on the post-Russian revolution and its effect on the ethical and social aspects of modern (1978) society in America.
Recent critics of today's world often quote this movie as an example of what's wrong with the current world and how the future of mankind will be harmed by mankind itself.
The movie is smart and the acting is way above standards. Till today (2005) it is still a mystery to many why this movie has not received any awards, whilst it most certainly deserved one.
