I watched this movie dubbed in Spanish on a DVD that came free with a Spanish magazine, so I obviously wasn't expecting much. What I found though is one of the most heartwarming children's films I've ever seen. There are some great songs (in Spanish anyway) and the DVD I have even has a karaoke feature should you decide you like them so much (yes, I've done it). The story does pretty much what the title says. A seagull dies and leaves a cat to look after her egg. The film follows the adventures of the baby seagull and her cat friends. There are moments of sorrow and others of happiness. I'm sorry for not being more articulate but my point is that I was emotionally touched and I think you will be too. Watch it if ever you get the chance.
I found it incredible that 7% of those who rated this film gave it a "1". This is an adorable animation with a positive message for all who watch it. The dialogue is clever and uplifting and the characters are excellent. The music is beautiful. This is a movie that can be enjoyed by adults as well as children. My three year old was terrified by the nasty rats. Isn't it nice to have an alternative to the exact same rehashed characters (who look and act like cartoon versions of "Friends' actors") portrayed by Disney and Dreamworks in all their animations? Don't listen to those who gave this animation a low score; it is a beautiful film for all.
I just watched this movie, and I was in tears by the end - it is so moving! It was quite a surprising movie, as I had no idea what to expect. The cats are all wonderful characters, and I especially loved Lucky - the "cat" who can fly! This movie has a wonderful message - that you can do anything if you put your heart and mind to it. Parents and children alike will enjoy it. An excellent movie!!
I relly liked this movie because the storyline was touching. It's good both for young and old people. Zorba is a noble cat and Fortunata is nice and "cucci". Antonella.
...because it's a lot of time their million-dollar masterpieces do not > provide this kind of innocent fun, almost trading an entertaining story for > graphical impact. > > Astounding. A marvellous, poetic cartoon for both children and adults alike. > Graphically poor, almost childish, manages anyway to amuse and touch the > spectator's heart. Even if it was bad, it'd be worth seeing just for the > mice leader.

- TriviaDespite the original version of the film is Italian, the animation of the mouths of the characters was made on the basis for an English dub.
