A beautiful film about two nice people who fall in love but one of whom is married.

This film is of British quality with a wealth of emotional tension and subtlety. In every detail, it is perfect. Juliet Stevenson, especially, is magnificent. (Which does not mean that the other actors are not great.) The film is about questions of life and morality, but in a moving and subtle way. It was a television film and I saw it on Dutch television, several years ago. Ever since, I have waited for a release on VHS, and now I am hoping it will be released on DVD. I even asked the BBC if they had plans for releasing it (they did not). So, let anyone who has seen the film comment on it as well -- perhaps it will be released on DVD, then. By now, it is too long ago for me to remember anything about the technical quality, so I cannot say anything about that.
