The show Swat Kats was just amazing.. Me and my friends used to come back from school and just wait for the show to start... Its was half an hour of pure entertainment, with the exception of the commercial break... Cartoonnetwork must bring back these shows that are/were/and will be suitable for all age groups... The story of 2 simple mechanics living in their dump yard, making their own jet and going through immense training, just to stop evil at its roots... The show was a mixture of both humor and action.. T-bone and Razor were the best tag team in the world.. I wish cartoonnetwork goes back to its former glory and telecast shows that everyone will watch and love.. I hope Hanna-Barbera comes up with new ideas to restart the telecast of the TV series the whole world loved...
I have watched SWAT Kats the Radical Squadron since they first come out and I have all of the episodes on tapes galore. They need to be put back on the air because they were a better cartoon then some of the other stuff that presently airs on Cartoon Network. The SWAT Kats' show had terrific music, and the characters were so complex that many people could think of their origins and how they were. The episodes were intense, mysterious, action packed and scary in some of them. Each episode had a moral and was great for children to watch. Robert Alvarez needs to make more episodes of them and keep them alive, that's all they need is more episodes and they would be one of the biggest hits on Cartoon Network if Ted Turner wasn't stupid enough to knock them off.
This is the coolest cartoon series I've ever watched.I seen the first episodes in 1995.It was rad.I fell in love with the damn thing. At the time it was the best animated series airing on CN...and I think that 'till today they haven't showed anything so well done. Anyway,a few "ears" later some "eediot"(I don't give names,I think you know very well who am I talking about)decided that the show was too violent or something like that and canceled it. Wake up fellas!!!Put it back on!! What the hell are we , the SK fans supposed to watch? The Powerpuff Girls??.....
The series itself has great action, evolved characters, quite original plot and great overall quality. It was so great that a cult built up and written stories emerged.
So what if planes with cats and buildings with cats and machines with cats crash or blow up or burn down or anything like that. Too bad this lasted only too seasons, but those were great, I recommend it to any Sci-Fi lover, cartoon lover and action lover.
To tell you what? it's even funny sometimes. Go see it, wait a second, they cancelled the show for too much violence, you will have to register with Cartoon Network. And with all the other 'Non-interesting' shows they put up on that network, Swat Kats is one great reason to buy a connection.

Extremely well-rendered cartoon, with good characters. They did a good job with the "double-life" of the main kats: mechanics by day, vigilantes by night (usually). The bad guys could be a bit formulaic, and the show sometimes got a bit tech-happy ("check out THIS weapon"), but for the most part, a good show. It always seemed to be on at the wrong time - way too early, and paired up with "2 Stupid Dogs". Rumor has it Ted Turner caught an episode and ordered it yanked. The final episode was a hastily-thrown-together "best of" show, which was even lamer than most attempts at same. That shouldn't detract from it being remembered as a great series from the early days of the cartoon renaissance.

- TriviaIn a 2009 interview with Lance Falk (Writer / Design Coordinator) he said that the way he heard about the reason behind the cancellation of SWAT Kats was that Ted Turner himself simply thought the show was too violent for kids. When it got canceled, there was a paragraph from Turner in Entertainment Weekly (early 1995) entitled "Ted's Excellent Speaking Engagement" concerning cartoon violence: "We have more cartoons than anybody: 'The Flintstones', 'The Jetsons', 'The Smurfs', 'Scooby-Doo'. They're nonviolent. We don't have to worry that we're encouraging kids to kill each other--like SOME of the other cartoon programs do".
- GoofsWhen in civilian outfit, the titular cats have shoes. But when they are in their Swat uniforms, the cats are barefoot.
- Alternate versionsBefore the openings, there would be clips of the episode to air with Razor's voice saying "Today on Swat Kats..." In later years and on Cartoon Network, they stopped showing them.
