    A Cool tv Movie

I think all the roles Kellie martin Has played have been brilliant and this is no exception .This is probably the best show or movie she has ever played in along with ER. A cool tv Movie.Worth Seeing A+++++

A really well done crime drama

Although our 'justice system' is the best in the world sometimes things just go wrong. This story (based on true events) deals with spousal abuse in years past.

Since "OJ" & that trial, this is much less likely to happen again.

I especially liked the courtroom scenes and the way the camera(s) were used to show it all.

The writers did a 'super' job too.

A great surprise twist as well.

Here's what I think the last lines of this movie should have been

    If I were the judge in this movie and when Katie (Goofy's son, Max's girfrliend, Roxanne from A Goofy Movie/Mona from Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas (played by Kellie Martin)) was found not guilty by the jury and before Jimmy (Henry Mitchell from the TV series, Charmed (played by Ivan Sergei))'s family apologized to her, I would have told the witnesses to call the police next time they witness domestic violence instead of ignoring it for one reason or another implying how it also could have saved Katie from getting killed rather than her killing Jimmy and here's what the last lines of this movie would have been then;

Judge: Will the defendant please rise? Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, have you reached a verdict?

Jury Foreman: Yes, your honor! We have. We the jury find the defendant, Katherine Liner-Pettit not guilty.

Judge: Before we leave, there's something else that I wanted to say. How many of you have been hit? Who among you beats your wives? Well, this is against the law. This is wrong. And you know what? You watched it happen to the defendant, Katherine Liner-Pettit and you did nothing. You have a responsibility to the people that you care about. When you see them hurting or you see them in trouble, you step in and you call the police so that this does not happen again. Court is adjourned.

Marian Pettit: We're sorry for your pain.

    Charles Pettit: Let's go.

Katie Liner: (as she is laying flowers at Jimmy's grave) You always promised me that tomorrow would be better. Tomorrow never came for us. Jimmy.

Katie Liner: (to her children) I'm going to make tomorrow better for both of you. I promise.

love when the attorney tell a shocked father that katie got bruises all over her and dad looks shocked.GREAT film!

oh my god. this movie is by far one of the TOP best true stories ever. it is on again right now.love this part on where you see jack, handsome actor kevin dobson from the kojak days i remember my mother love him,as katie dad,he NOW REALIZES just how mean and evil the cute son in law is to the daughter.you see how the cops did not really want to arrest his little girl katie but had to by "law".

a great movie right here.going back to watch.just wanted to comment.

have a nice day. giving this movie rating 10 stars, she is such a great actress in our 30 something generation.love kellie martin.

even the boyfriend played by ivan sergei really did portray abusers in a great way. almost was like he was not even acting. love this film.

    Beautiful sisterly friendship

I have to say that the scene in which Sharon (Kristin Dattilo) finds out about Katie's (Kellie Martin) problem is the best scene in the whole movie. When she flat-out asks her if Jimmy is how she got the black eye, and she races into the other room, I find that to be very real. Bravo to the director. I personally think that Kristin should have gotten a bigger part in the film.

    • Trivia
Jennifer Savidge (Dr. Lois Coutu) and director Eric Laneuville are connected by two medical dramas, '80's television series St. Elsewhere and '70's series Emergency! They worked together in St. Elsewhere as nurse Lucy Papandrao & orderly Luther Hawkins, respectively (Laneuville was directing then, as well). Laneuville appeared in an early episode of Emergency! as a patient, which starred Robert Fuller, who is now Savidge's husband.
