        Buddy-Movie at his best

Gong Pu II (aka City Cop) is one of the best Buddy-movie i seen Danny Lee, a legend in Hong-Kong movies get back to what he love, a dirty cop who think that when you are in face of a brutal gangster you can do everything to stop him... this is just pure entertainment...

One of the better HK Cop Films

The film is about two cops, one is a veteran which is getting close to retirement and has a family to take care of and the other is a young, hot headed cop who has a itchy finger to pull the trigger. They are paired up and they are immediately amongst the action but the aging cop is having difficulties handling his young partner as he has a 'Rambo' like tendency dealing with awkward police situations. The pair are assigned to catch a gang of dangerous criminals and getting close to catching the leader proves a fateful moment for both.

The film is enjoyable and doesn't get too mediocre like some other Hong Kong cop films I've seen. The action there would satisfy any HK Action Movie fan and is not over the top nor heroic bloodshed. The acting is satisfactory in what the film's storyline is suppose to deliver.
