    Good policial

This film was a good surprise for me when I saw it. It is one of the few good policial movies made in Portugal. The story takes place during the second world war in Portugal, which was a neutral country, even if it had connections to both parts of the war (the old alliance with UK, on the one side, and the ideological similarities of its regime with italian fascism and german nazism, on the other). Still, despite its neutrality, there were many hidden war related activities, spying, and so on. This film tells one of those stories, around a microfilm with important informations to the course of the war, which entered the country in the hands of Pola Negri's secretary (Pola Negri, the famous actress). And then we have an english spy infiltrated and several other characters, germans and others. It's interesting the historical background created, based on real events, as the conference in the end and real characters like António Lopes Ribeiro (portuguese director) or the refered actress. Besides that, the movie has an excelent soundtrack, by a portuguese jazzman: Mário Laginha. I found particulary thrilling and completely adequated to moment the music we here when Jorge is hiding in the room with the murderer inside it.
